Paul 55,107 Posted August 1, 2016 RAM pumps are great - as long as you have a water source to continually feed them. Amazing pumps.
Jsteam 283 Posted August 1, 2016 As Paul states, as long as there is plenty of water flow! I used one on the farm, we had a big dam in the valley, overflowed 9 months of the year! The ram pump would lift the water 250 feet to our head tanks above the house. Beats running an engine, any day!
Banacon 174 Posted September 7, 2016 (edited) Is it possible to connect this to a water tank 50 feet high..gravity from tank will run pump, overflow runs back to well..pump placed on top of deep well..you think it works? Ah, I guess not...the water running the pump is also the source.. Edited September 7, 2016 by Banacon
RogerDat 3,475 Posted September 8, 2016 It might pump for awhile until tank was eventually empty due to system friction ( diminishing returns?).
