Woolf 8,550
Cebu Daily News http://cebudailynews.inquirer.net/97038/human-trafficking-case-filed-against-briton Human trafficking case filed against Briton By: Izobelle T. Pulgo @cebudailynews 10:51 PM July 3rd, 2016 Briton also indicted for violating Cybercrime Prevention Act A British national was charged in the Regional Trial Court with large-scale human trafficking involving seven women and for having in his possession p*ornographic materials that he produced and created, with intent to publish and distribute them to online customers. This after the Office of the City Prosecutor found evidence to indict Wade Lloyd Allsopp of the crime of qualified trafficking in person, which is a non-bailable offense, for taking advantage of the vulnerability of seven females for the purpose of prostitution and sexual exploitation, which is considered to be in large scale. The Prosecutor’s Office also indicted Allsopp for cybersex, a violation of R.A. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012) or the Cybercrime Law, defined as the willful engagement, maintenance, control, or operation, directly or indirectly, of any lascivious exhibition of sexual organs or sexual activity, with the aid of a computer system, for favor or consideration. Bail for this offense is set at P120,000. According to the resolution of Prosecutor Aurora Penaflor, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents had placed Allsopp on sustained surveillance operation after they were informed that the Briton p was allegedly exploiting, trafficking, and sexually molesting women at his rented condominium in one of the hotels in the city. Case filed The City Prosecutor’s Office filed the case last Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Cebu RTC. Allsopp was arrested on May 19, 2016 by NBI operatives at his rented room in Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City, where he was caught in the company of seven scantily clad women. Two laptops that contained photos of women in different age brackets who were either posing nude or clad in skimpy attires were also found in the scene, along with several sex toys, pieces of lingerie, gadgets, and instruments apparently used for p*ornography. Victims’ affidavit The rescued victims in their judicial affidavit claimed they met Allsopp through Facebook and that he allegedly recruited and offered them a deal where he would assist them in finding foreigner husbands allegedly on the condition that they would submit sexy and nude photos of themselves. The victims also alleged that Allsopp opened, created, and maintained individual accounts for them, where their nude and p*ornographic pictures were downloaded and viewed in a dating website. The victims also claimed in their affidavit that Allsopp had allegedly consummated sexual favors from all of them by allegedly threatening them with physical harm and intimidation and allegedly deceiving them with unfulfilled promises. Penaflor, however, dismissed the seven counts of rape filed against Allsopp for lack of evidence. In an interview after he was arrested, Allsopp described as unfounded the allegations against him, claiming that he was in the country for just a week and was on vacation when he was arrested. He also claimed in that interview that he was a retired finance officer from England. Due to the nature of the offense, the victims’ names are withheld.

Peter C 184
May the scumbag enjoy his days in the general population of a Philippine prison. Let him play the roll of the victim. Guilty until proven innocent in the Philippines - Innocent until proven guilty elsewhere.
Headshot 29,349
Guilty until proven innocent in the Philippines - Innocent until proven guilty elsewhere. With crimes of a sexual nature, it is always guilty until proven innocent ... regardless of where you are in the world. Once the accusation has been made, the accused is hash unless they can prove a strong alibi.
oztony 36,116
One thing is for sure , he has got to be guilty of something ..... unless 7 young women just all of a sudden got together and said .... look , there is a Brit on holidays here , lets all make up up a story and extort some money from him. Whether he was just being a lowlife slime and bullshitting them with false promises for sexual gratification as a reward to himself or whatever , it appears he created his own miserable situation...... sympathy level zero....
thebob 18,260
Once the accusation has been made, the accused is hash unless they can prove a strong alibi. An alibi isn't a valid defence in the Philippine justice system.
hagler 61
The accused is not short of a dollar by a long, long, long shot. People found out about that. Partied like he wasn't short of a dollar by a long, long, long shot. I think you can work out where that ends up sometimes. Edited July 4, 2016 by hagler
Headshot 29,349
An alibi isn't a valid defence in the Philippine justice system. That depends. A certain Norwegian (in the Ella Joy case) would dispute that. You will notice I said a STRONG alibi. It had better be ironclad. Even ironclad, the justice system will try to ignore an alibi, but if there is enough indisputable evidence and enough public pressure, they will buckle.
