Engagement/wedding Rings

Recommended Posts

Well,

I will be shopping for an engagement ring and wedding rings. Can anyone recommend a good and inexpensive jeweler in Cebu City? I will be staying at the Beach Club Hotel on Mactan Island

Your right in this vampy

For rings you can find the best stores in AYALA or SM,

you also can compare prices in there

Got a niece who got engaged last Nov 12. He gave his wife to be (Vietnamese) a 1.3 karat solitaire

diamond ring bought at $6,000. I'm sure one can buy same size/type in SM or Ayala at a lot lesser price.

The wedding will be Sept. next year yet. Quite to far off yet. Here in the Phils, when engaged, marriage happens 3 mos. the latest.

What's the old saying?

Marriage is a three ring affair,

engagement ring,

wedding ring, and

torturing.

I think a lot depends on the clarity and color of the ring (or so I have found out) And you are relying on the honesty of the dealer for that information. That may actually be a bargain (or not) depending on the quality

Given the rate my g/f seems to lose mobile phones I think a modest one will do to start with from overstock.com, no tax which I hate paying and free shipping.

When she comes here she will get something better, then it can be insured!!

I was going to go with a traditional diamon but got tired of looking at all the same rings at different jewelers. So I decided to take a different route. I am getting a gemstone in the center with diamonds on the outside. The gemstone will be her birthstone. Attached is a similar picture to the one that I think I'll be getting.
