One of the few things I ever posted on the subject was that the people I know who have been here on the ground and doing major business for 17-40 years all told me it was a house of cards. I believed them and passed their opinions on to others here. They have seen this type of thing come and go before.

I can second that motion. They had seen it before. They told me to keep money and it was safer under the mattress.

Do you know of any investments that pay 100% per year?

Yes I do and with major western banks too.

(OK, it isnt guaranteed, so one can lose ones money, but the track record so far is good.)

Some years ago I found one that paid slightly over 200% pa.

Some friends made a great deal of money from that one.

(I didnt have spare cash to put in at the time.)

So, to me, the Legacy scenario wasnt as improbable as it was to some people.

Alan, the truth about those kind of investments is:

1. People always know better after the fact - ever heard of hindsight?

2. On paper, a lot of things look great, pawn shops, money lending, stock trading system, currency trading etc., in reality NOTHING is even close.

Ahh yes, hindsight is wonderful.

At least it enables me to win last weeks Lottery (in my dreams)!

As for the investments I mentioned, no, I wont recommend anything to anyone.

For a start, I am not licensed to do so.

But, check out the major banks, and see what they have to offer that is not in the mainstream of the portfolio.

On the DEADBOL Yahoo Group some Members are reporting they have stated receiving pay out Checks from the PDIC for Php250K Deposits in Rural Bank of Pararanaqui - the first of the Legacy Group Banks to be closed on December 12th - 6 months ago!

Sure hope we get a letter from PDIC something like that soon?
