I cant imagine him giving the Australian a suitcase full of cash . when someone says, someone owes someone a boat load of cash, does not take inspector gadget to ask the next question...what was it used for... that is not personal loan money...that is business partner money...and not a small business either... Lee 17,711
As of yesterday afternoon, the PNP Crime Laboratory already had the dental records of Wilson to be matched to that of the man, who was charred beyond recognition. Quijano said Jocelyn provided the dental records. A member has already vouched for the wife, so I am not trying to point any fingers at her or anyone except the Philippines, what law enforcement agency in any country but the Philippines would ever accept dental records from the wife and not directly from the dentist...
jtmwatchbiz 31,460
such a ridiculous statement in my mind... and it could very well be all in your mind. $500,000. is a big chunk but far from ridiculous and certainly not unbelievable nor require a Filipino partner. we know foreigners that handle much more than that on a regular basis and in certain types of small businesses that's not an excessive amount. hell we know one Italian fellow that dropped more than that in a single weekend at the casino and laughed about it afterwards. just because one doesn't encounter foreigners dealing in such amounts of money doesn't mean it's not plausible.
A_Simple_Man 7,033
A member has already vouched for the wife, And I am sure he wholeheartedly believes it and I hope his faith is justified, but think about this: Whoever the culprit is, there is a high likelihood that someone will say "Oh not him/her, can't be him/her. I know him/her too well to believe that." I mean its not like people wear a sign that says "I did something totally outside my usual good character and killed someone today". Having someone vouch for another person's good character is only one piece of evidence. Unfortunately, in this country, it seems to be a very big piece. It means that the cops have often judged who is innocent and who is guilty before they even start collecting the other evidence, or so it seems to me. I am not in the watch business...but if I were...this would be a client I bet has a watch for sale today...and with that $500,000 claim...she should have some good ones... only people I know about that laugh about losing money...are laundering money... Gus 980
am I the only one that thinks that is a far fetched story? I mean really, how could someone owe another person that kind of money in this country...the next question would have to be something like, what resort did he buy (or was he building)...someone would have to have some type of filipino partner to have that kind of stash in the Philippines... such a ridiculous statement in my mind... Mate, you dont know what you are talking about .. yours is the ridiculous statement. enlighten me then Gus, bring some honor, honesty and validity to this story... my questioning the statement by the wife, that the Australian owed the victim $500,000 USD does not dishonor the victim...it cries for some justice... to make such a claim...without stating why...makes no sense to me...thus I brought it up...no one else sees a problem with her claim? I am fine with that...if that is the case...
