Brisket 50/50 burgers

so i knew we were saving some money by grinding our own brisket.. though not the overall reason we wanted to do it

 

now i know exactly how much we are saving.. the local supermarkets sell course ground 80/20 for chili brisket for 5 bucks a pound and preformed ground brisket burgers for 6 bucks a pound (not sure what percent they are but they are of course a finer grind then the chili stuff)

 

brisket burgers are beginning to become a thing... cause it has a stronger beefy taste than some other cuts

 

the briskets cost me 1.97 a pound now.. so even when i trim them down to 90/10 it costs me in the neighborhood of 2.46 a pound 

plus we know what exactly is in it
