I know there is a thread here somewhere for this guy, but here he is again. I hope they will deny him bail this time around....

American rearrested for abuse

AN AMERICAN national who was previously granted bail for child abuse was rearrested by the authorities on Monday after he was allegedly found molesting a male minor.

George William Nolan, 68, a native of Michigan, was again charged with child abuse and violation of Republic Act 9208 also known as the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 before the City Prosecution Office.

Nolan was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Davao Region, together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in response to an information that the NBI received last December 2 that the respondent has been allegedly conducting suspicious activities involving minors in his residence in Catalunan Grande.

According to the Joint Affidavit of Arrest of the NBI dated December 15, they had conducted a discreet surveillance against the respondent and found five young men inside his rented house. NBI Davao then verified before the Davao City Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) that the respondent is an American national who has been granted stay in the country under a tourist visa that is valid only until last Monday.

NBI Davao Special Investigator 3 Jonathan Balite also found that Nolan has a derogatory record before the BID and is included in the Immigration lookout bulletin order.

Records from the City Prosecution Office also revealed that Nolan was previously charged with violation of Republic Act 7610 otherwise known as Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

The NBI then filed the information before the Davao City Regional Trial Court leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant.

During the arrest, NBI operatives reportedly found three Filipino boys inside the suspect's residence one of them is a minor while the two were both 23-year-old (name witheld to protect their dignity).

Further investigation conducted by the investigator revealed that the rescued minor was allegedly harbored by the suspect inside his house “for the purpose of sexual exploitation.”

It was also previously reported in Sun.Star Davao that Nolan was also arrested by the Talomo police and Barangay tanods last August 18 for his alleged involvement in trafficking of minors. He was arrested at his previous residence in Morales Village in Barangay 74-A and was accused of allegedly abusing eight minors.

Nolan is currently jailed at the NB-11I detention cell while the case against him has yet to be resolved by Prosecutor Serafica Weis. (RCP)

Okay, this piece of trash deserves the worst.

People have to remember though, child abuse of this nature is far too common in this country and perpetrated by foreigner and local alike. Keep an eye on your kids. Trust no one when it comes to their safety.
