I don't know how many of these I can do but there are a few.

I once knew a Filipino in Dumaguete. His name was "bong", like BongBong (some spell it like BungBong), which means wall.

My Cebuano dictionary spells it bungbong (wall) but o and u are pronounced the same.  It also lists dingding but my wife says that tagolog.

Another word I have seen spelled two different ways is, "amacan". Alternative spellling: "amakan".

 

And, another word I have seen spelled two different ways, "uling" and "oling".

I assume it means: "word of the day."

buang (adj) - pronounce 'boo ang' 

 

crazy, insane
