Mass shooting in San Bernardino, California,

What if this would have been black men instead? or Asians? Hispanics? Would these people feel like they should be reported?

After murdering so many people I think they would have done the same thing whether they were black,Asian ,Hispanic or white even..wouldn't you?

What is suspicious about receiving packages?

Since there are talking about it AFTER the attack I'm surprised you ask this question.Just where did the explosives and ammo come from?

Why would anyone alert authorities about their new neighbors ONLY because they look or worship differently than they do?

Nobody alerted anyone..That's the premise of the article and it was only AFTER the shooting did it become a question.  I think maybe the neighbors felt a bit guilty for not getting into touch with anyone to look into some of that "suspicious" activity like the Mid-East fellas hangin around and the packages coming in [they were'nt for Christmas you know]    and the fact they were Muslim added to whatever guilt they may be going thru right now .This PC attitude is nice in a perfect world setting but we are so far from that and what happened here is just another push in the opposite direction.  You can be damn sure people are scanning their neighbors now a bit better in every neighborhood  thruout the USA because of this.

I am wondering why a Muslim would attend a christmas party in the first place. Something was not right from the very start. It will be interesting hearing from the survivors.

Hmmmm, just a guess, not based on any inside info. Good old weird  Kalifornia, Gov job,  party on the public T*t so they were paid to be there?  Jester

Many Mid-East people are Christians, Syria has approximately 2-3 million Christians.

So before we start rounding them up and sending them off to gas chambers we need to do a little soul searching.    Jester

In the case I referred to, they weren't....  and as far as anyone sending somebody to the gas chambers or any more allusions to Hitler's treatment of the Jews in WW2 as opposed to how we should fix this Islamic problem is more than should have been said in my opinion.  Nobody suggested that, but while you are surmising perhaps you have the solution we all are looking for?

Female shooter in California pledged allegiance to IS leader: CNN

Washington (AFP) - Investigators believe the female shooter in California, Tashfeen Malik, posted on Facebook during the deadly attack, pledging allegiance to Islamic State group leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, CNN reported Friday, citing three US officials.

One US official familiar with the investigation said Malik had posted on Facebook under an account with a different name.

The officials did not explain how they knew Malik was responsible for the post, CNN reported.

Female shooter in California pledged allegiance to IS leader: CNN

That is an interesting twist if it becomes verified and does come as somewhat of a surprise to me. Of course many here were expecting it ;)

Another interesting bit of information has come out recently as well. This event may turn out to be a hybrid between work place violence and Islamic terrorism as it appears the couple may have held a grudge against at least one of the victims.

Nicholas Thalasinos, 52, was a worker at the San Bernardino Department of Health.

He identified as a Messianic Jew and passionately defended Israel, actively debating about religion in online forums and in person, his friends said.

Only two weeks ago, Thalasinos, of Colton, was having a heated on-the-job discussion about the nature of Islam with Syed Rizwan Farook, his fellow restaurant inspector and one of the shooters.

Thalasinos' friend, Kuuleme Stephens, told The Associated Press that she happened to call him while he was working with Farook and that he brought her into their debate, loudly declaring that Farook "doesn't agree that Islam is not a peaceful religion."

She heard Farook counter that Americans don't understand Islam, and Thalasinos responded by saying, "I don't know how to talk with him," she said.

Stephens said she didn't sense any pending violence at the time, and it is not clear if their debates factored in the attack. Stephens said Thalasinos did not believe his co-worker would ever turn violent.

However, Stephens said Thalasinos' grieving wife told her later Thursday to tell the media that she now "believes her husband was martyred for his faith and beliefs." It wasn't immediately clear why Jennifer Thalasinos came to that conclusion.

Muslim with a grudge against a Jew who stands up for his religion so of course kill him and 13 other people. Makes perfect sense  :sarcasm:

"Farook "doesn't agree that Islam is not a peaceful religion." '"She heard Farook counter that Americans don't understand Islam, and Thalasinos responded by saying, "I don't know how to talk with him," she said.

Kind of proved Thalasinos's  point didn't he?

No doubt now that it was a terror attack.

Killer wife in California massacre swore allegiance to ISIS

The female terrorist who fatally shot 14 people and wounded 21 others in the San Bernardino attack swore allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghadi in a Facebook post, a federal source told The Post on Friday.

Tashfeen Malik pledged her allegiance to the militant group on an account with a different name before she and her husband, Syed Farook, carried out the attack, the source said.

“Investigators believe this is ISIS-inspired. She pledged her allegiance to al-Baghdadi,” a source briefed on the matter told The Post.

The post was later deleted, apparently by Malik, but FBI investigators were able to recover it.

Investigators also believe there is a “very serious” possibility that Malik radicalized Farook, whom she married in August 2014, according to Fox News.

Law enforcement sources also told Fox there’s a “very strong” possibility that Malik was her husband’s terror trainer and may have helped him put together pipe bombs.

“We believe they were preparing for additional attacks based on the fact that they had plenty of ammo, weapons and pipe bombs,” a federal source said.

Malik, 27, was born in the Punjab province of Pakistan, but moved to Saudi Arabia with her family 25 years ago.

While living in Saudi Arabia, her father, Gulzar, became more “conservative and hard-line,” a family member told Reuters.

“When relatives visited him, they would come back and tell us how conservative and hard-line he had become,” said Malik’s uncle Javed Rabbani.

Malik returned to Pakistan five or six years ago to study as a pharmacist at Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan, Pakistani officials told Reuters.

Her father had also built a house in Multan, where he stayed whenever he visited, said another uncle, Malik Anwaar.

Now what would make you think that? :sarcasm: , I suppose there will be a few here that think we are racist and jumping to conclusions still,                                                                                                    US massacre investigated as terrorism

The FBI is investigating this week's massacre in which a married couple killed 14 people in California as an "act of terrorism".

Officials announced the nature of the investigation on Friday, as sources said that the female shooter apparently pledged allegiance to a leader of the militant group Islamic State.

Tashfeen Malik, 27, a native of Pakistan, and her husband, Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, were killed in a shootout with police hours after Wednesday's massacre during a holiday party at the Inland Regional Center social services agency in San Bernardino, east of Los Angeles.

The attack was the deadliest mass shooting the United States has experienced in three years.

US investigators are evaluating evidence that Malik, a Pakistani native who had been living in Saudi Arabia when she married Farook, had pledged allegiance to Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, two US officials told Reuters.

They said the finding, if confirmed, could be a "game changer" in the investigation, though another source cautioned there was no indication that there was no evidence Islamic State "even knew" who the shooters were.

"Based on the information and the facts as we know them, we are now investigating these horrific acts as an act of terrorism," David Bowdich, assistant director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Los Angeles office, told reporters. Investigators have determined that the Malik and Farook engaged in "extensive planning" before the attack, he said.

The terrorist are certainly getting the reaction they wanted. They want us to suspect all muslims and make us feel under siege.

We should dispassionately work to eliminate Isis without losing focus and making the problem worse.

PC drivel. Their aim is not to make us suspect all Muslims. That's something western governments have made up because they are trying to integrate Muslims into our society.

In all honesty, their aim is to kill as many of us as they can because they hate us.

PC is a relative thing.

So they want us to alienate more muslims so there are more terrorists to kill us, same thing.

My point was keep your head. Focus on the enemy you can hit.

Your point is fine, but you are either mistaken about or not telling the truth about their aim.

The aim of IS is to establish their caliphate. The aim of domestic western terrorists who align themselves with IS is to kill us because they hate us for our war against their evil empire and to 'strike terror' into our hearts. It's not to manipulate westerners' feelings towards other Muslims, that's completely made up to try to have us focus on the enemy we can hit. It's perhaps trying to get the right result, but not by not telling the truth. I prefer to know the truth and still do the right thing, personally. It's better again.

Muslims are doing what they do because of their religious beliefs. Nowhere in that religion are they taught to manipulate people against others of their faith. Let's tell the truth.
