Laptop repairs in Cebu?

Recommended Posts

mikewright

Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop in Cebu City which can repair laptops?

Screen has stopped working, although it came back on for a while this morning, now a black screen only.

Cheers

Mike

WARNING!!!  I caution you that none of your data is safe in any repair shop in the RP.  I had my Mac laptop serviced through the Apple Store in Ayala and the tech over-rode my password and copied my HD.  They said it was a "mistake".  I said "bullshit".  So, before you send your laptop out for repair, be sure to make multiple copies of your HD and then delete everything personal, especially photos, passwords and personal documents with you SS#, etc.  Otherwise you will be at risk of stolen data.

I put my laptop for repair once, needed a change of the display

they took the HD out, the battery out as it was not needed for the repair

so I took both with me, and brought them back when they called and told me it was ready for pickup

Try Techdaddy, I have found them pretty reliable.

They have a branch in E Mall and also a small office on Gorodo Ave.

Theyalso  have a page on FaceBook.

Most shops in E-Mall bring things to iSolve Computer Repair - its near Elisabeth Mall - I had my iPhone 5s Battery replaced there for just 800php in just 1 hour - (the "Apple" iStore in SM told me it would be around 8000php with them)

Thanks guys. Took the laptop to emall as suggested, before the rest of the recommendations were posted. Went to Stateck.  Busted  LCD screen, 4500 pesos to replace screen and do a general clean up of the laptop.

I assume they have spare batteries and HD's for any brand? Otherwise how do they check the repair was successful?

very very very easy the screen had multi colored stripes all over,  just turn  it  on when screen replaced

if no multi colored stripes when turned on it is ok

if it could display the bios settings without strips,  ok

Do not need a battery to start up  just the brick power supply
