Raptor 319
"They" are the people who squeezed rounds into Fernandez. ie the pulis
easy44 5,573
ie the pulis I wonder if they will check to see if the bullets came from the police guns? My guess is probably not. After all, the case is "solved"!
+RogerDuMond 15,657
ie the pulis Doesn't seem logical to me. If it was the police, they would have just said that he was killed in a shootout.
Raptor 319
Doesn't seem logical to me. If it was the police, they would have just said that he was killed in a shootout. The victim would need a gun, and that could lead to questioning which would tear their fake story apart. Usually the pulis story is that a suspect grabbed one of their guns, but that only works if the suspect is in custody. Much easier to execute someone and then say "No one from the city police could explain how the suspects, who were held at the Marawi City jail, disappeared from their cell and ended up dead with gunshots to the head." or "Before they could reach the house, the police heard bursts of gunfire. They later found Fernandez dead with gunshot wounds in the head and chest. He said they didn’t know who killed Fernandez" Here is the facebook of the killer they have in custody, let's see if she gets charged like Tullioz promised: https://www.facebook.com/jenalyn.soon
samatm 3,167
Who is they, I didn't see that in the story? "Before they could reach the house, the police heard bursts of gunfire. They later found Fernandez dead with gunshot wounds in the head and chest. He said they didn’t know who killed Fernandez and what was the motives behind." its good to read between the lines ? Headshot 29,849
Probably more like a "continue to breathe" deal. She will likely do some time for her involvement though. It is likely that she will neither do time for her involvement nor continue to breathe for long if the family thinks she played an actual role in the murder.
hyaku 2,899
More details of the case today. Of course details conflict with other press reports. Seems the cameras got it all again. The girlfriend apparently knew her boyfriend was a theif. Looks like she was hoping to get the reward for informing on him. http://www.sunstar.com.ph/cebu/local-news/2015/09/23/police-100-sure-432076 Edited September 24, 2015 by hyaku
hyaku 2,899
More reporting from the Cebu Daily News. Wonderful people! Soon said that right after they left Corinthian Subdivision on Sept. 15, her boyfriend dropped her at sitio Mahayahay, barangay Bangkal, saying the motorbike was low on fuel and had to look for a gas station. He didn’t come back for several hours. Soon said she walked instead to barngay Marigondon where she met Ruben’s friend Rabie Flores and wife Geraldine. At 1 p.m. Fernandez came by with a sling bag of gadgets. Fernandez took the DSLR camera and had Rabie pawn it. It was pawned for P7,000 at a shop but Rabie told his friend the amount was P5,000. According to Soon, the two men then went out and bought shabu with it. Soon said she joined them in sniffing the shabu. She said the three of them spent the rest of the afternoon playing the card game “Tong-its” By Wednesday, Fernandez had gone away without notice. Soon said she went home to Olango Island and learned about Karen’s death the next day. - See more at: http://cebudailynews.inquirer.net/69055/girlfriend-im-sorry#sthash.NzlD0Mus.dpuf

Raptor 319
so she says and what is his side ? oh yea he was shot just as the police approached She lied too: The police official said that Soon lied at one point: she said at first that her boyfriend did not go inside Karen Kaye’s house Also: Surveillance camera footage showed Soon and Fernandez entering the subdivision at 7:03 a.m. on a black-and-white motorcycle and leaving at 7:11 a.m.At 7:45 a.m., Fernandez was seen driving back inside. He was seen leaving again at 8:15 a.m. Except: The subdivision did not have security cameras Are the press in these "press conferences" allowed to ask questions? Jessalyn Soon is at least an accomplice to murder.
For Real 3,253
If we don't learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. Karen's case is closed but Fernandez's case requires more investigation....WTF. "Surveillance camera footage showed Soon and Fernandez entering the subdivision at 7:03 a.m. on a black-and-white motorcycle and leaving at 7:11 a.m. At 7:45 a.m., Fernandez was seen driving back inside. He was seen leaving again at 8:15 a.m." Corinthians is a gated subd, we know the protocols of entry. My first questions in all situations like these are towards the guards. If someone has looked the other way...or turned off the surveilance...then its time to interrupt the breathing patterns of the guards. An innocent little girl has been killed FFS. We have similar cases in our area. What is so astonishing is just how stupid the culprits are as they go about committing the crimes. In many cases, the crimes seem to solve themselves. Meaning, the individuals involved eventually get apprehended by their own actions. Hard for me to understand how the killer would make two trips to the property in the company of a person known to the family and expect to avoid being a suspect. For my family, we have simple measures in place to attempt to reduce the risk of this sort of "impulsive" crime. Our simplest technique is "out of sight, out of mind". As much as possible, we keep strangers away from our property.
colemanlee 21,440
What is so astonishing is just how stupid the culprits are as they go about committing the crimes. Think about all the stuff that has been reported here in the last few months....and for those of us that live here, the stuff we hear about all the time...most perps here are far from being rocket scientist...most kill for what we consider pocket change, most get caught by someone telling the PNP or being connected to the crime by logical reasoning...ie, bf,gf, friend, worker, someone with a grudge etc.. We have all seen it before...life is cheap here...you can get killed for just insulting somebody...or letting somebody you know or dont know get close to you The ones that rarely get caught are the drive bys, political assassination etc...as those that carry that kind of thing out are professionals... hyaku 2,899
Again all into shabu! My caregivers father was murdered by a user. Mysteriously instead of pressing charges he was told to move away. Thankfully is now locked up anyway for a repetitive crime as he murdered again. A month ago retired police officer in the area was executed by the NPA. Seems that he in actual fact he was the drugs dealer there. Puts together a few pieces of the puzzle why the shabu taking murderer had not been arrested. Edited September 24, 2015 by hyaku
