Paid in dollars, spending pesos...   Best retirement plan evah!

come on guys lets not forget the sorrow our European brothers felt for us when the Euro was flying high and we were hitting 39 to the dollar true they said ha ha ha but they did not mean it deep insid

Still depreciating, along with many other currencies.  All good, if you're paid in USD.   Damn, it feels good to be an American!   LOL

3.90 Philippine pesos (the Philippine currency) in exchange for each 1 U.S. dollar (the currency of the government of the United States).

This thread is about the US dollar Peso exchange rate, let's keep the discussion focused on that.

If you want to discuss the politics of the US dollar and economy, please do it in the CR... :regler:

When I first came to the Philippines in 1968, the exchange rate was about 5 PHP to 1 USD. Of course, you could get a lot more bang for your buck back then than you can now, even with that exchange rate, but then we had a lot less bucks as well. Just as a reference to historical exchange rates, take a look at this...

I'd like to see a chart of the value of a dollar compared to the value of the appropriate exchanged number of pesos through the years.
