USD to PhP Exchange Rate

Recommended Posts

Kreole

I always use the money exchange in the Rajah Hotel and Casino on Fuente circle.  It consistently has the best rates usually equal to the exchange in Rain Tree mall, and they NEVER ask for an ID.  I have changed thousands of US currency there in the last 5 years, and they don't even look at you since they have frosted glass, only a circle hole you have to bend over to speak into, and just below that the counter with a cut out in the glass to pass money.  I can't see the teller and she can't see me.  The only thing we see is the money and a receipt showing the exchange rate at that time.

btw:  NEVER NEVER NEVER exchange at WU.  They are a total ripoff, especially in Cebu.  One time I was looking for a place to send myself money through XOOM and the WU teller told me there would be a charge for giving me the cash in US, that it was a "tax" that the government requires.  I said " bullshit" and left; went across the street to BDO bank and there was no charge.  Also, I contacted an XOOM rep and told them that WU was charging a tax, and he said that there is no such tax.  Western Union is the biggest money launderer in the world.

Everyone seems to be missing the point, a peso income is what is required...converting XYZ to PHP leaves one exposed to XYZ.

PSE index is looking pretty good for an entry, PE ratios of around mid teens.

Yeah I'm at a loss why the USD keeps going up. Most analysts say it should be going down, but it keeps going up and up.

And if the Fed Reserve raise interest rates in December, like many are predicting, then it will go up even further.

Lucky bastards!

Because the US has the biggest stable growing economy in the world right now. Organizations, governments and individuals will put their money in the safest place.

Considering we are now well into the 'ber' months leading to Christmas, I am amazed the exchange rate is as good as it is.

Those of us who've been here more than a year or two, will understand what I am talking about.

Because of the flood of OFW / Filipino expats world wide sending Christmas cash home for those not in the know.

I think?
