I'm sure there are more than a few songs that remind us of those days long past. Some good and some not.

First concert I ever went to, Feb 7 1968, Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim California. Jimi Hendrix Experience first act, opening for Eric Burdon and the Animals.

Those were some hot friggin' times, all around the world. Lots of upheaveal.

How true, but you have to admit that there was never a dull moment. A lot of thing going on at the same time, like the war in Viet Nam, war protests, women's lib, the pill, the sexual revolution, civil rights marches, riots, draft card burnings, the shooting at Kent State, long hair, drugs, alcohol, protest songs, Woodstock and hundreds of other things going on at the same time. It's pretty dull nowadays compared to back then, but it sure as hell was an exciting time to grow up in.

Rolling Stones:  Paint It Black

I attribute that song for most of my inner ear damage by playing it so loud it would obliviate the outside world. I'd do it all over again though.

This one isn't from back during the Vietnam war, but it will certainly make you think about that time...

Edit: I didn't notice that Salty Dog already tagged this one, but it wasn't actually from that era. It was just about that era.

Damn there was some great music back then. I actually thought of this thread when I found a 4 hour YouTube video with all these songs and more. I figured it would be eaiser to break it down into seperate songs.

But if you want to listen for 4 hours or whatever part of you like, here it is:
