I need translation help too

Recommended Posts

My lady friend in the Philippines posted a photo of a baby on her FB page and called him "my strength". After that there's a short dialogue in either Tagalog or Cebuano about the baby. I hope to God that she didn't have a baby that she didn't tell me about. Could I send the conversation to some of you in a private message so you can read it and tell me what you think? Thanks.

Send it to me, if you wish

PM sent

I'd welcome other opinions too, if anybody else would like to read my friend's conversation

does your friend knows your a member of the forum???????

if not, why not just post your friends FB posting here.  Unless your friend knows a lot of expats, most filipinos cant be bothered with the expat forums.

I'll think about it. First I'd have to edit all of the surnames out of the conversation.

For Real

Sounds like more than 1 person is happy about a baby.

I managed to figure that out on my own.

Appears to be Bods baby, not Dee's. Will confirm.

the convo is rather difficult to translate directly - theyre using too many slangs.  you need to know the personality involved and make your own deductions.

anyway, it roughly means its HER baby they are talking about but because of so many slang words - its NOT CONCLUSIVE!

best way for you, is to find out if any of her siblings has just had a baby boy.  it got to be sibling and not a cousins baby as her friends are saying the baby look like her.

Bod is a slang not a name ....... which could mean anything .........
