Aussie Arrested for Child Abuse

Recommended Posts

One more down.

A 51-year-old Australian national, who reportedly faces a string of cases in Europe for sexual acts involving children, was arrested in Malaybalay City in Bukidnon around 2 p.m. Friday.

Senior Supt. Alecander Tagum, chief of the police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Northern Mindanao, identified the suspect as Peter Scully.

Tagum said Scully was arrested by combined elements of the CIDG, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) here and from the NBI’s anti-trafficking division in Manila.

Tagum said based on their information, Scully had been victimizing young girls from this city and Bukidnon.

“He is a fugitive in Australia for fraud and has cases all over Europe for broadcasting sexual acts over the Internet involving children,” Tagum said.

Thank you very much Mr Scully, not only have you messed up the lives of innocents and their families, you have tainted all of us with your own very peculiar stink.   I wish there was a way of keepin

Death by dismemberment would be too good for this mongrel, start by cutting his balls off

If true, yet another sick bastard that needs to be put in the worst possible, and most secure, Philippines jail for the rest of his life where hopefully inmates can do the same to him.

I hope this guy rots in the worst prison.

Unless the man has very deep pockets, in this case, you will probably get your wish.

Nabbed Aussie lures kids with food, school

CAGAYAN DE ORO. (L-R) NBI Anti-Human Trafficking Division in Manila representative Atty. Czar Eric Nuqui, NBI-10 Director Atty. Angelito Magno (center) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-10 Senior Supt. Alexander Tagum present to the media on Friday evening Australian Peter Gerald Scully (at the back) who was arrested at his residence in Sitio Violeta in Barangay Linabo in Malaybalay City late Friday afternoon, February 20, for child abuse and trafficking charges. (Joey P. Nacalaban)

FIRST he would lure them -- female kids so young they can barely write their name. He even promised these children's parents he would take care of them; some were offered to attend school for free.

With those enticements, the parents had put their trust in him. And when that relationship had already been established, that's when the abuse, both sexual and physical, would begin.

This was how the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Northern Mindanao described the modus operandi of 51-year-old Australian Peter Gerard Scully, who was arrested by authorities in a raid in Sitio Violeta, Barangay Linabo, Bukidnon late Friday afternoon.

Lawyer Angelito Magno, NBI-Northern Mindanao director, said Scully has been on the run from law enforcers, first from his home country in Australia, for fraud, and here for various charges including rape, sexual assault and violation of qualified trafficking law.

Magno said the NBI learned from the Interpol, an international police organization operating in more than 100 countries, of the suspect's alleged criminal activities disseminated through the internet.

Live streaming

What Scully did was he would take videos of him allegedly assaulting the minors physically and sexually and doing these acts in front of a camera while these are being uploaded on the internet in real time, or what is commonly termed as "live streaming."

The live streaming videos can be viewed exclusively in a website by his clients through a "pay per view" scheme.

The suspect, Magno said, would do all sorts of acts depending on the request of his clientele, who are mostly Europeans.

In many instances, Scully allegedly beat the minors black and blue before they were sexually violated.

"Most of the victims are from Mindanao, particularly in Cagayan de Oro," Magno told reporters in a press conference where NBI and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Northern Mindanao presented the suspect on Friday evening.

Lawyer Czar Eric Nuqui, chief of the NBI's Anti-human Trafficking Division, said Scully was known to invite young girls in his house in Linabo and they were then promised they would be given food and would be provided for their educational needs.

Scully's arrest was done with the help of the Australian and Dutch police.

Warrant of arrest

Based on initial investigation, Scully has allegedly abused at least seven young girls, two of them he abused inside his residence in Apovel Subdivision, Barangay Bulua, sometime last year.

Following the appropriate charges stemming from the complaints of the two girls' families and authorities, Judge Jose Escobido of the Regional Trial Court Branch 37 issued a warrant of arrest for Scully for child abuse.

Senior Superintendent Alexander Tagum, CIDG-Northern Mindanao director, said that with the presentation of Scully to the media, authorities are hoping other victims will come forward and identify the suspect so more charges could be filed against him.

It was learned that Scully entered the country in 2011, staying first in Makati City before moving to Cagayan de Oro and eventually to Malaybalay prior to his apprehension.

So glad this piece of filth was caught. May he spend the rest of his pathetic existence in some dank, urine soaked cell eating bugs and rice   wondering if the constant cornholing will ever stop.

And in a country where many of-age gals would be happy to oblige him, too.

That just may be what will happen to him. Jails are full of murders and many murders have children. They too don't like child sex offenders. His days are numbered.

I've wondered if that's an urban myth that's been perpetuated by TV and movies.
