that's too bad to hear Palawan was where this happened. I heard about the island resort one years back but I thought that was just a one-off. Anyway, they were both in the less desirable southern but at least.

My 82 year old mother went to Palawan early this year. She got out alive.

 

[she was travelling with my brother and his long time Ilokana wife. They stayed only in the best places, and didn't stray into the wilds.. much. Of course it depends where you go in Palawan. I don't hear people expressing concern in the northern areas of Palawan. It's a big place.]

 

BTW.. my mum enjoyed her month long visit to the Philippines. She gets out and about quite a bit on these trips in different parts of the world. The last 6 years has included Egypt, Israel, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Hawaii, Alaska, Tierra del Fuego, Brazil, and innumerable trips inside Canada and the continental USA.

Palawan is a great place for a month or so..........a lot of young western tourists there and I found it to be one of the safest places in the PI.....

 

Now if I was a smart terrorist , I would certainly put them on my target list

For myself I have to take back the statement I made yesterday. I was wound up when I said that, better for me to admit that just a short time getting physical would leave

me winded and done for. Off the drugs for a week would end it my self.

 

I'm 65 and just going around on auto pilot, can think in a hard way but no way am I going to kick some ass unless I get the gun.
