What about the poor quality of fuel, will that be an issue?

The fuel isn't bad here except for the diesel. It's a US car so it will run on just about anything.

I know a guy who sent a Virago motorcycle to himself by Balakbayan.

He got it all together and tried to register it as a a home built bike.

He was told that the bike that he paid $2,000 for in the states would cost him P45,000 to register here unless he could show receipts that all of the parts were bought in the Philippines.

It was parted out and sold for P35,000.

Exactly what I was alluding to in my previous post.. you can bring them in But registering , that's a different story all together....

I think there's more to it than sulfur content. Leave your vehicle parked too long and you'll need your carb/injectors cleaned.

Of course you do realize your wife is supposed to own it for 2 years isn't it?

In other words no transfer of ownership during that period of time.

Well that's how it was explained to me

shipping in my case is going to be 1875 for a 20 foot container

What shipper ships a 20' container for $1875 may I ask? That is cheap! I would like to know for shipping other things besides a vehicle.
