I have known Billy (Billyand) for a number of years. Originally met him at Sam's (also deceased) burger place in Carcar.    Damn. Seems like, slowly but surely, everyone I know in Cebu is passing on

Sorry to hear that about Billy, but I knew that he was in a bad way. DOes anyone know how his wife is doing? When I meet her in the hospital, she was beside herself with worry for Billy.   I'd be wi

I am sad to inform that Bjoern passed away last night, 59 years old, in South General Hospital between Naga and Minglanilla. Bjoern was active both on this and other forums, and stayed in Naga, south of Cebu for about 8 years.

Bjoern was a retired sailor with huge interest for ships, and was also active in motor bike clubs doing lots of traveling around the Visayas. Bjoern had lots of friends, very down to earth-guy and was easily liked. I knew him for about 5 years and met him several times, and know that several other members also knew him.

Unfortunately, his health got worse the last year and even though he got blood donation through LINC, he passed away last night.

RIP Bjoern.

RIP, much to young to die.

I didn't know him but always sad to hear an expat has passed away especially at such a young age. RIP

He was a very good guy. Norwegian seaman during his career. I spent quite a bit of time with him, listening to his stories from when he was at sea.

Billy truly will be missed.
