Careful of your interpretation of PTSD - I have been diagnosed with it  - it has become the catch all to allow label us as incompetent -for 46 years my wife has managed our finances and I unplugged th

His crime?

There was no no crime. The Veterans Administration has deemed Mr. Kirby “incompetent” because his wife takes care of their finances. He has a good credit rating, he pays his taxes, he has never been arrested in his life, yet the federal government says will have to surrender his firearms and give up his Second Amendment right due to the VA’s designation of “incompetent”. His alleged incompetence is based on his own admission that he does not take care of his own finances.

If you applied this to everyone who is not good with money (we have all been there) there might be a 1/2 dozen guns left in USA.  Of course those who don't pay taxes and have lived their whole life on the government dime don't have to worry about this.

Maybe they should, we could probably do a better job than an army run by a bunch of "suits" behind their desks, counting their money, drinking their fancy drinks, smoking their cigars and holding a young woman on their lap all at the same time.

If we, the American people, keep tolerating this sort of shit, we WILL end up with the government we deserve.

Wow! I have known-and do now know-guys who don't take care of their finances-they have turned it all over to their wives. Guess they better not tell the VA, huh?

You just described nearly every expat I know living in the Philippines.

Self described, thoroughly reinvented high rolling playboys.

Hmmmmmm.... a good start but how would we get rid of the other six?

Sell them to a family member.

Or just tell the government you gifted your guns to your wife. It doesn't mean that you can't still be the one to use them (and control the combination to the gun safe). You can even still hunt using guns "borrowed" from your wife. There isn't a state in the US that requires you to own a firearm before you can buy a hunting license.
