9 Volt battery fires

Recommended Posts

Most of us change our smoke detector batteries this time of year so I feel it would be worth watching this video and spreading it around.

A lot (maybe most if not all) of new 9V batteries come with a plastic 'lego' that snaps over the terminals. When you install it snap the lego over the old battery. How easy is that? Of course, if the old battery has enough juice to start a fire, why not put it in something else that uses 9V?
