learn dirt bike riding

Recommended Posts

Back in my home country riding was my only passion, but i'm talking about on road motorcycle trips on big heavy bikes. Now i would like to at least try some off road, but i can't buy a bike and all the gear now so i was wondering if there are any placer where i can rent everything and if some of you guys would like to have some riding one of these days so i can finally have this experience and see some other hidden spots of this beautiful area.

I don't wanna do hard motocross, just have a day out, have a nice ride with some nice people in some nice spots: no rush, no competing for arriving on top of the hill first, just have ourselves good time doing what we like.

C'mon guys, is two years i'm waiting to go riding again, help me do this in the beautiful Visayas!

Hi, I used to ride a lot but sadly lower back problems have stopped this for me, however if you go to Moalboal and ask about renting a honda XR 200 there are some great trails around the surrounding hills, ride down the coast to Santander, stop off at Kawasaki falls. There are a few clubs here in Cebu Hero being one that pretty much meet every Sunday and head out for a full days ride. Maybe someone else will post wanting to join. My friend in Santander is planning bike trips, he has a resort a Harley of his own and a few bikes different sizes biggest be V Max. Check out Eden Resort Santander, the owner is Dennis Swedish guy, if this interests you just contact his site and send a message

There is a guy who joined this Forum, who might give off-road riding pointers as well as hiring out bikes to ride on.

There have been threads that mention Banana Moon Cantina (Cadillac Cafe) over on Mactan hired Honda XR200's and Yamaha DT125's (2 Stroke)

http://www.cadillac-cafe.com/cycle-rentals.php

#510152Where to go dirt bike riding in Cebu?

But did I also read Neil Salman has closed up completely since then?  http://www.cadillac-cafe.com/reservation.php

Sorry, the Cadillac is CLOSED for business.

That suggests no more MotorBike Rentals!

I would suggest contacting Forum Member Open-Ended  who was advertising Philippines-Adventure-Trail-Riding on this Forum for guided Off-Road Tours

Dirt bike riding

Ask Canuck Joe, what its like!

Our Green Trail Rides are never ridden fast, nor any difficult 'Technical Trails'.  If it starts getting too difficult. we turn around and take a different ROUTE!

We also like stopping on route to admire the scenery take photos, and get some 'refreshments'.

Dirt bike riding

Hi Sir Dave thanks for the mention sir.

Banana Moon still rents bikes this I know. Sadly his texmex is no longer viable..I suffer taco and refried bean withdrawal.

I know of another bike rental place but it as well will not satisfy the true MX enthusiast. That leaves the one you mentioned who is no longer a member here. A true MX rider and tour guide with real motocross bikes for rent.

Interesting we have a new member here who knows what he wants...

welcome POPO!

^^what the fec...my response is part of your quote^^

to clarify

Thanks for the mention David, no tacos at banana Moon but they still rent scoots and xr's. OpenEnded is a real MX enthusiast and guide but no longer active here as far as I can tell. I am interested to know more about our new member.

Kindly ask a mod to allow you to contact me and I can hook you up with openended who rents out Huskavarna 2&4 stroke bikes and guides you on back roads and trails.

Or you can make 20+ posts and unlock the forum personal message option. Check forum rules for information.

I arrive in Cebu on Monday but only for about 6 weeks then back to that College in Zhuzhou for another term of Teaching (only 12 x 45 min Classes for the half term starting 24th Feb - can't be bad!).

I suggest you sign up to the Facebook Group and keep in touch with what the guys are posting there.  Looks like there may well be a Green Trail Ride a week on Sunday!

OK - all set for the next GTR this coming Sunday 12th - route plotted. Not suitable for back-riders. Suggest meet up outside Marco Polo Hotel at 10:00am. From there we will head up TCH then take a right at approx 4kms. Route takes us across a variety of terrains finally ending up at Liloan Bird Sanctuary where i'm sure a cold drink will be most welcome ! (of course this is all weather dependant).

Bruce for your info I have sent text inviting Gedo
