SkyMan 23,730
I need to level a cement floor and I have some masonry cement. Do I just add water or does it need some fine sand? Or what?

Hy H 1,987
What is it that you need to level it for? Building or tiling on top? Is area inside or outside? Does the weather affect this area? How thick you think this levelled need to be, app? Without additives there is no strength or bonding ability in your sand & cement mix. There are special levelling compounds available.
SkyMan 23,730
It's indoors, hand poured and just not as level as I'd like. A bit of a crown in the middle. So it will be like an inch or little more in parts and feathered down to nothing. If necessary I plan to grind any rough areas after the leveling is set and then cover with vinyl flooring.
