He had many great stories and lots of advice to give, I'm really looking forward to our next meeting

I've met him before through friends, but then only briefly polite greetings.

One of his advice was "don't invest in
condo, the market will collapse"

"Don't invest in condo"  Just about universal. 

 

When I was a RE broker we said condos were for the "newly wed and nearly dead."

As a Filipino, Mr. Go would never have to concern himself with his wife taking his property from him. Foreign nationals, however, may experience that.

 

As a foreigner, buying a condominium is one of the few ways to protect ones self from possibly losing a property to an estranged wife, ex-wife, or really pissed off girlfriend. 

 

She can't take it if it isn't in her name, in whole or part.

my wifes uncle is a go and your right he is  a very nice guy ...we visited him at his old school over by e mall

Yes, nothing wrong with a condo!

It was the price he said was too high and they built too many, not many Filipinos can pay 60-100k per square meter.

He also believed that a collapse in the condo market would have repercussions throughout the real estate market....
