Smart is currently offering 3 pocket wifi devices. One is usb for about 1,000p. The other two are non usb type for tablet and cell phone for about 1500 and 2000p. Has anyone tried the non usb type and are they any good?

Maybe I'm confused but what do these gizmos do that any recent Android phone can't do?   KonC

But do you have a recent phone that can be "tethered" like an Android?   I have an Android phone that I jump onto Smart internet with. That phone is set to be a wireless "hot spot" as they call it

From what I gather its a battery powered wireless router were you would insert your smart, sun, globe sim card into....You can then pickup wifi for your tablet,phone....etc

My neice has one and she demo'd it.  They are just a portable hotspot.  They allow up to 5 people to share a single connection.  That's it.

iPhones have the same capability.  I use an iPhone 4 that has the feature, though I don't use it.  I'm sure the newer models have it too.
