I would.   I noticed much more than the girls.   Maybe because I never came to the Philippines to find a girl and did not know about the bikini bars etc before my first trip. I just came for a hol

The forums members tell the good, the bad and the ugly of living in the Philippines so if anyone who has not been to the Philippines reads the bad stuff and knows that they do not have the temperament

yet another reason I moved out of the city... the syndicate's begging all the time.... sirrrrr sirrrrr   give me money sirrrr.

I can only handle a few days in the city before i get all depressed and want to leave the philippines... when I come back to the province within a couple of days I am ok again.

well i get bored in cebu city so maybe i am just a new york boy at heart ... to me living in the province would be a torture

Well said, but that's pretty much true whenever you choose someone to not only share you life but your finances.

...... That's right. And guess who usually gets the house in a divorce case in The U.S.

well as a married 3 time guy if there are no children its a 50/50 split... now as you can not own land here the wife get the property and you get if your lucky 50% of the house now all you have to do is pay her rent to live in your 50% of move..

In my mind, I think more people DO end up visiting the Philippines due to the information offered on this forum. I feel this, because they don't get smoke blown up their asses when they come to this forum for information. They get the cold, hard truth. Unfortunately, some cannot handle the truth being told to them, like a current advertiser who recently left, due to the blunt posts here.

Well, if they can't handle the heat, I reckon they need to get out of the kitchen.

I agree with the usefulness of the forum. The only distraction is the frequent petty back and forth among the "regulars" which detracts from the main theme.

I had a job years back where I had to give a two week class to people in my profession who were being assigned overseas. Most of the job consisted of me arranging for subject matter experts to come to give a refresher to the attendees, specific to their needs. However, I always made sure to include a couple of days where the attendees could meet with someone who had recently worked in the country they were headed to. Sounds like a good idea, right?

Problem was that I never knew what information was being given to attendees from the person I sent them to. A lot of it could be bullshit or even incorrect. Not everyone working overseas was happy with their assignment. However, even with the bullshit, the attendees did get benefit from meeting with these people.

That is what makes this forum useful. If someone comes here to get informed, chances are they will be assisted. I just wish the "regulars" could limit their petty bickering.

yeah it is boring but, the air is cleaner, the people are nicer and it feels more like the real philippines then the city version of it.

I was bored shitless when i first got to duma ( i live not exactly right in duma) as I have posted on another thread but now I am learning to appreciate it a lot more.

Once a month we go away to a resort somewhere ( though not sure why as most if not all these islands are almost exactly the same) daily i go to the market and pick out fresh produce to then do some magic with for dinner and lunch.

I was even more bored i cebu as all there really is to do there is drink and chase girls. Once u are taken man like yourself, there really is very little to do and all the beaches suck except for the very expensive rich people's ones.

A motorbike does help but it is raining a lot these days...  thank god for gta5 and my playstation... but I am a gaming geek at heart anyway

I stay here because I know the USA is on a downward slope.  There isn't much of a future there for most people. Being married to a Filipina gave me an out and I took it.  Not to say that this place is a paradise, but life is much simpler here.  The only thing my wife of 18 years misses in the USA is Michaels, WalMart and a few other shopping outlets.  I really don't miss much about the USA at all.

I got just got from the USA, spent 7 months there driving trucks and I can tell you the country looks bad in many areas. Give it enough time and it will look like bad areas over here. All the money is old money and I wouldn't want to be young and starting out over there.

I can live cheap here and have a house here, so I pretty much made my bed here.  I guess it all boils down to ones perspective and how to deal with things that are less than perfect.  No matter how much I get pissed off everyday, I know I've got it better than a lot people here and in the USA.

My money will stretch further here and that's a fact.  In the USA, ObamaCare's repercussions are something I wouldn't want to deal with.

Haven't gotten there yet. Have to wait till my MeManson sells..

I bet if you wanted it badly enough, you'd find a way to make it happen without the wait... :)

Call me narrow minded but thats the only reason why im here...

Can you imagine Philippines/Cebu without the girls? Who would wanna live there? I am sure 99 percent of us would be gone the next day

The girls make the place.

Uh, did you notice the beaches? The easy-going culture? Diving? Rock bottom prices? While I love the filipinas as much as the next man, I believe there is a lot more going for the country. Edited by Sven

I always say my wife has the money...that usually works. If they ask my wife, she will make it clear.

best ingmore complitly vigra seller or they just get werse even if u just nod

I tell them the truth: I'd rather pay money to NOT take whatever they are selling. Recently, some people got arrested for selling some stuff labelled "Viagra" on the street that wasn't Viagra. You see, they made more money that way. I'd rather not take any chances of ingesting Chinese medicine, thank you.
