Well, game 162 just ended so it's time for the playoffs.

My Pirates are involved for the first time since 1992!!

First up: the Wildcard game vs. the Reds at 8:07 Wednesday morning.

The Tribe and the Rays same time Thursday morning.

Who carries the games? Dish and channel information appreciated.

We have a Cignal dish but has had no load for over a year. Easy enough to make a call and get it switched on.

If on Dream or another dish I'll start looking around for a place to watch.

MLB.com has a good deal on a postseason package for international fans

25 bucks for live games with all the bells and whistles... (they can't show playoffs live in the USA or in the Canada)

My bandwidth won't allow the viideo but the Audio Gameday comes through kind of okay. Lots of hiccups but listenable.

Fox Sports shows the biggest games every morning, just pot luck as to whether your team is shown though.

Thanks Jigsy.

As there's only one game each on Wednesday/Thursday morning we should be good to go for the wildcard games.

And Fox Sports is on Cignal according to their website.

Ended up watching the Pirates beat the Reds at a friend's bar. Fox Sports on Dream.

However, there was no audio commentary. Crowd noise, etc but no play-by-play.

Is this normal and due to a licensing issue or something? Or a technical problem?

Assuming it was the same on Fox Sports on Cignal.

Anyone else watch the game and have the same experience?

I used to love taking my transitor radio to the Astrodome and watching the Astros (DisAstros, LAstros... I've heard 'em all) while listening to Milo Hamilton broadcast.

I usually got a nap in, too. ;)

Did your broadcast have the announcers' play-by-play audio?

I watch on Fox a lot and never an issue with audio. Maybe your guy picked up a stream?

I was shocked by this but...

after much trial and error was able to find a streaming p2p channel that works on my crap connection.

It stutters a fair amount but can follow the game no problem. Great image quality too.

Hooked up the laptop to the LED TV and have been in play-off heaven. Pirates' gametime was 4:37 this morning and is 3 am tomorrow. For the other play-off games they sometimes stream just the audio which works perfectly.

Downloaded this software and followed the baseball link:

I hope Verlander wins in Game 5 ;)

He pitched a perfect game into the 6th.

Can't ask for much more than that.
