Can you borrow a plugin wireless interface to try in the laptop to see if the built in one is the culprit?

Are other computers staying connected OK?

The technique is to swap out until you find the problem by process of elimination.

Sometimes just restarting the router will fix such issues.

Or if the interface is a card behind a door in the bottom of the laptop you could remove it, blow out the dust, maybe wipe contacts with alcohol and reseat. Be very careful of static electricity if you muck aroung in there. There is a lot of vibration in a laptop so things do disconnect or there can even be a crack in a solder joint from the factory that has just reared its ugly little head.

You can set the band. I normally set the channel and set G. Then I giv2 my computer a static IP. You can try it as something may be jamming the frequency Microwave fan fridge almost anything.

I would try with an usb wifi adaptor like the one shown in the link

Then you would know if it is the router or the laptop

Oh  same problem with the iphone  hmm  then it is probably not the laptop

Have you tried to change channel on the router, very  often the default is

set to channel 6, try channel 2  or 10

If all devices are doing 'it' then the problem is somewhere between those devices and the outside world. If a wired connection works fine then that imples the router is the issue.

Did you cold start the router?

Can you borrow another router?

What happens if you put the device much closer than 6 feet?

Electric motors like in a fan can be really electrically noisy. This might cause the data to be corrupted and thereby continually resent even with an apparently strong signal.

You can use this program  to check for overlapping channels in your nieghborhood

Then if you have some overlapping channels

you can move your routers channel

Used to happen with me until I noticed the wifi gets cut only when someone is using the microwave oven. Changing the channel fixed it.

Or, at risk of sounding like a smart ass here, just buy another router. They are pretty reasonably priced these days.

ye smart ass :)

i buy brand name so it works

but it dont lol

i asked in the store they told me i can bring it there to get it looked at but that is just to much work as i will have to cut the net here for half day

and my wife is using it for her net cafe

i will try to work with the channel and see if that will help

if not i have a hammer that might

if that dont help i go back to string and cup :)

I would have changed to 8 or maybe 10, to get futher away from any possible interference,

if  this helps then it is fine, if not  you can change to one the upper channels

Hammers and duct tape ALWAYS work with electronics. Gotta keep them gadgets in line somehow. :)
