Truck and Auto Tires

Recommended Posts

Headshot

Since Skyman started a topic on house painters, it reminded me that I wanted to start topics on many subjects for services that that are often passed on word-of-mouth. In other words, if you don't have contacts, you don't find the person or company that provides the service. I will start these threads on as many types of services as I can. Note: I consider any specialty as a service, so you will see painters, plumbers, carpenters, masons, electricians, lawyers, medical specialties, dental specialties, diesel mechanics, gasoline engine mechanics, LPG engine mechanics and conversion, brake repair, auto body and paint, auto electric systems, etc. Also, if you think of other specialties that I miss, let me know, and I will add a topic. I will pin all of these topics, so they stick around over time.

So...if you know of a TRUCK and AUTO TIRES shop that you would recommend, please put the name of the company, whatever contact information you have, where it is located (town or city), and why you would recommend the shop. Also, if you know details or their work (like what they have done for you and how long the tires have lasted), I'm sure that would be helpful to a lot of other members.

I go to Goodyear in Mandaue, on the right when leaving Consolacion (south) after going down the hill from the CBN television station.

They do alignments as well, tires are warranted, the service people are fast, knowledgeable and the tires actually last.

Another vote for Tri J in Mandaue (they have other locations too).  They are located across from McDonalds on the North Highway.  Prices aren't the cheapest but they are competitive and their customer service is very good.  If you are shopping on price alone in Cebu you will suffer many disappointments.

Hello all... my Mitsubishi pickup-style truck (think L300) needs 2 tires. They are pretty much standard size, nothing odd-ball.  I arrive in Cebu and then ferry over to So. Leyte.

Where in the Cebu uptown or midtown, or Ayala, or SM area, (or maybe Mandaue) can I find 2 decent new tires?  I'm not really wanting to spend $$$ for Goodyear "cadillac" quality, but I'm not going to buy crap-tires, either.  I might consider good used tires, depending on the quality/price, etc.

I'll be taxi-ing my way around, and will be hand-carrying the tires with me onto the ferry.

So, if you know of something in the Hilongos area, that is an option for me, too.

Got any business to recommend?

Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks for whatever you might provide.

I have also bought tires from the Goodyear shop in North Mandaue (down the hill from the Isuzu dealership). I have had good luck with their tires, and they give me free rotation and service.

S and R have good prices on tires.  They use Nitrogen instead of air and do free rotation and service,  too.
