Mr.T 202
5000 pesos with return to Bangkok is great... i'll be going every 2 months i guess
udonthani 2,027
trouble is it will be more like 8000 pesos you will in practice end up paying, not 5000. Even 5000 would be quite high.
Mr.T 202
maybe it's expensive for you, but not for me, and many people i know. 5000 pesos with return to Bangkok is dirt cheap Edited October 9, 2012 by Mr.T
udonthani 2,027
some other airline, should be doing it for less. The markets are being rigged. And it makes the Philippines poor.

The operational price for a round trip ticket BKK-Cebu is going to be more like 12 or 14,000 pesos, and might be even more than that. Mr.T 202
Anything below 8000 pesos round trip to Bangkok-Cebu and I take it.
Mr.T 202
I could probably save myself a few pesos flying through Clark first but feck it, I don't feel like doing that. I want a direct flight.
udonthani 2,027
what you don't seem to understand is that 8000 or 200 dollars, is going to be the basic operational ONE WAY fare, between the two cities. Not cheap.
Mr.T 202
I don't think so. A friend of mine recently booked a round trip ticket with Cebu Pacific from Cebu to Bangkok direct for 5000 pesos
udonthani 2,027
it's going to be more than that. You don't understand the Philippines. Normal market forces don't apply and stuff ends up gettting far too expensive.
Mr.T 202
stop the nonsense. My friend just paid 5000 pesos for his round trip Cebu-Bangkok flight you haven't even booked that flight yet, same like with the Italian and Thai restaurants where you never been to but made bad comments about Edited October 9, 2012 by Mr.T
Ungaro 230
Does anyone here know any sensible (non-drone) person (with contact info) at Cebu Pacific? I hold 2 tix for Dec. 11, CEB-MNL-BKK, purchased long before there was a direct flight. I have a keen interest in saving CebuPac some money and work. I would like to exchange my tix to the direct flight. I am not interested in any refund. I'd appreciate any help. Edited October 9, 2012 by Ungaro

Ungaro 230
Just go to the Cebu Pacific office in Robinsons, Cebu. Take your wife or girlfriend with you I did just that, Mr. T and I was summarily dismissed -- "Promo tickets cannot be rebooked or re-routed" and the best interests of Cebu Pacific and the customer be damned, that is policy. I have learned, however, that a Mr. Ivan Henry Gaw at [email protected] is in charge of the cadre of clowns posing as Customer Service representatives. I have penned the following missive to Mr. Gaw: Dear Mr. Gaw, Today I approached your Cebu Fuente Osmeña office with the intention to avail Cebu Pacific to an opportunity to increase profits (by savings substantial costs) and increase customer satisfaction but I was summarily dismissed. Back on May 2, 2012 I purchased, via your web site two (2) promo fare tickets, CEB-MNL-BKK, Confirmation numbers B2KBHL and Q4SVNI, because at that time you did not have a direct CEB-BKK flight. I would be perfectly happy to fly the itinerary as booked, but I thought you may like to have the option of rebooking us on the direct flight (same day, Dec. 11, 2012) to save substantial costs for your company and save two frequent customers the hassle of having to transfer at NAIA. But no, policy is policy and promo tickets cannot be rebooked or re-routed without a penalty. I certainly will not pay a penalty for the privilege of saving Cebu Pacific substantial costs, I would rather suffer through the NAIA transfer experience. Permit me to repeat: I understand your policy that promo tickets cannot be rebooked or re-routed without a penalty. Please do not reiterate this policy to me, I fully understand it; it was explained to me by your agent five times. I am hoping to find a person at Cebu Pacific with the authority and good sense to do what is best for the company and for the customer and I sincerely hope you are that person, Mr. Gaw. Kind Regards, Ungaro and the Mrs. I will update this thread with what transpires.
