Twice was for medicine when she came down with jungle fever.

My ex-gf caught Jungle Fever. I didn't know that medicine could cure it. I came down with some sort of Yellow Fever soon after that.

UPDATE:

Was just talking to Steve and some other info my wife has gathered via phone calls to family.

Jevy has already been busy with getting her papers back in order and looks like things may go smoother than one might think.

Her passport replacement has been applied for and looks like a 30 day wait on that.....Once she gets that and her birth certificate, she will have to return to the Emabassy in Manila, and no appointment for this has to be made. She simply reports to the window they have marked X up there, and re-apply's for her Visa. They will honor her last medical exam also, which is good news as far as I'm concerned..

Then once this is all done, within 3 weeks, they will send a new Visa package to her in Cebu.

Also, the Embassy did call Steve at his house here in the States, and they informed him that her last Visa has been cancled.

Bottom line is, yes there are some headaches to deal with , but looks like she should be ready for another go at coming to the States within 2 months.....

One thing that won't be done is, she won't be going to Cebu City the night before her planned departure alone with only her mother. I"ve already informed my brother in-law and some other men of the family that some can and WILL ESCORT her to the City and see for themselves that she gets on her flight...

Thanks for all the kind words and help you showed my friend Steve and my niece Jevy.....

That's good news that they won't have to go through the whole visa process again.

Looks like Ned beat me to it.

Steve, you were right in your initial post. Basically she has to go through the same procedure that she would have had she lost it, sans the interview. Which means filling out the DS-156 & DS-157 forms again, submitting an affadavit of support, a copy of the police report, a birth certificate, her passport & a 2x2 picture & pay the $131.00 US fee. Since her medical was just last month, she will not need to go through that again.

It's strictly a walk-in deal, no appointment necessary.

Thanx to all for your support & advice.
