Opera Browser

I kick this can down the road about every three or four months. Though I am still a big fan of Iron browser. I decided I would try a little strange.

So I download the new Opera Browser. It has a feature called turbo. Where requests are routed through the servers there. Then the images come back faster. Oh yes they come back alot faster.

This has to be the fastest browser I have ever used. My pages are loading a blazing speeds. I am amazed at how fast.

I did have a little hick-up in my gitty-up when I installed the puppy. The pages hung on elements and just paused forever. I almost trashed it.

I decided to take a peek under the hood heck if I broke it I was going to uninstall it anyways.

What I found was this has a Malware enabled feature by default. Well I have that covered turned it off.

Then it has a feature for loading extension only on demand. Well that sound good so I turned it on.

Shut it down restarted placing it in Turbo and wow it goes.

http://www.opera.com/ Give a try. Really like the speed at which I move.

So far so good Tim.

I've set it up with Roboform and Adblock so I guess time will tell.

It certainly feels faster than Firefox.

The image above is for a flash plugin. Most times it is ads. However if you click the arrow it loads that for you.

Sorry to seem so stupid, but I have downloaded Opera and I can't seem to find how you get to the first screenshot.

I'm giving Opera a go and there are a few places it shines. However I'm finding it has a problem with cache.

It seems to lose track of where it has been and where it is going.

For instance, on a site where a page is updated each second, Opera will not update at all but instead continues to show the first screen you visited.

Also, on some sites it will not format the screen but rather shows it as HTML.

Roboform add on remembers passwords for some but not all. Some sites it enters the password details but does not follow with [Enter]

I'm thinking that this is another "nice try but no cigar".

I'm afraid that for me Firefox is still my browser of choice.

For my PC I reckon Chrome is awesome

On my iPhone I find Opera very useful in viewing websites....
