A Motive to Commit Murder

Recommended Posts

smokey

There are many motives to commit murder throughout the world, but in the Philippines many foreigners don't seem to know about or understand a very common motive. When a Filipina has a foreigner boyfriend or husband, her brothers, sisters, parents, and even more distant relatives believe they are rich too because they have a right to the rich foreigner's money. When the Filipina's family members cannot get the foreigner's money they either become disappointed, angry, or decide to take the money by any means.

I will explain a little farther. When a Filipina has some money, her brothers and sisters believe they have money too and will even demand that the money be given to them or something bought for them. Its like the Filipina who has the money doesn't have any choice but to give it to them or buy something for them.

And, a few Filipinos decide to take the foreigner's money and valuables by force. Either a male in the family will commit the crime or they will pay someone.

You even see this attitude at Christmas time when people demand that you give them a gift. Its their right to receive or get something from you and you are wrong if you refuse. They don't seem to understand the principle of giving because you want to give. To them you are required to give and if you don't give they may take it away from you.

finally someone who sees things the way they are... my wife dont want to go back to cebu her home of 50 years because she SAID ... my sisters dont talk to me or want to see me because i will not give them money.... they are NOT happy for me but feel i owe them and one of my sisters said your husband is more kind to us and gives us money and you do not your not our family any more ,,, my wife countered with does your husband know your chatting on line with foreigners and telling them your seperated ??? only her brothers in the military are still close to her the sisters well ignore her.....my wife is the oldest and in the culture ( ask G )) she is to be respected but that is not reality . GREED stikes all races and creeds at times.. even sweet kind gentle people can become greedy

Wow, this is probably the most open racists topic i have read lately....   Filipinos as murdering, greedy, envy filled bandits with absolute no moral.   Wow...

That is a gross over generalization. Is it true in many cases, yes! But is it the vast majority, not even close. This also goes back to the over discussed issue of whether one came here and married an

Everybody's nerves are frayed over the marine murder. Nobody wants to imagine that their own wife and extended family

could ever think about murder for a few measly dollars.

But the PI is a poor country. Not only that but it seems to me that it's pretty easy to piss someone off

because of the Filipinos inflated sense of pride.

I've thought this through to the point that I decided that I would never consider building a house there...

if the house is actually owned by my Filipina, then she and her family are better off if I'm dead.

I know this sounds harsh but that's my opinion.

If I had a really solid marriage for many many years then I might reconsider.

It's not racist to recognize the fact that Filipinos do not see the world quite the same way that we do.

People from the west assume many things that are not true on a world wide scale. The rule of law comes to mind.

We grow up with a certain comfort, faith in the government and the police (though I admit this faith is rapidly dwindling)

a social safety net, etc., a list of resources not available in the PI.

We are soft. We have never known what it's like to live in survival mode.

The main issue always comes back to choosing the right woman in the first place, which takes not only savvy but a lot of luck.

Yes I think the pinoy are a non violent race. They have easy access to guns. Yet I feel safe here as a target. I wear nice clothes I wear silver Jewelry live in the poorer part of town. Drink in local bars, even have the acasual fight with drunk pinoy , all the things they say not to do to stay safe.

The to top it off I have many gf and over the years broken up with some not one relative took a dislike to me. The only time I had to worry was when the local drug seller wanted me dead. He tried to attack me on the street then made threats to have me killed, but the local police where very helpful the way things work here the guy backed off.

In my street lives a famous Cebu cop who always had the swat team over for drinks. I was told when I was charged with assult to visit him but one of my friends said not to as they would help me to get the charges dropped which is what happened.

I am not saying I am impervious but I do feel safe here.

its not as simple as need and avarice...theyve been hacking one another up forever..after ww2 the underage girl and rape scam was a biggie..the g eyes would swarm off the base and tear the town to fecking pieces..beat the hell out of the crooked cops and politicians..tear down the jail..and release their compadre..i used to watch em stream offt the base..knocking down and trampling the mpees.......................theyre pisspoor now ...but thousands of years of hand to mouth life and chaotic never ending tribal wars....rampant cannabalism and incredible religious and sexual abuse by the spanish...has spawned quite a passel of miserable little critters..the cessation of blood ritual has left them with an overt fascination for the anachronistic reflective stages of life and dying ...aka saving face...mexico ..colombia..middle east..africa..just suppressed blood rage bubbling to the surface... drugs money politics pride ..just excuses for kidnapping ripping the guts out of the defenseless ..raping..gassing..hacking off limbs...goose stepping to paradise..utopian pacifists ...moral equivicators..egalitarian fudgepackers..democratic socialists and their army of stern parent politician judge and lawyer child molesters .. one day youll notice things have gotten significantly quieter around the house...people will go from calm to giddy instantaneously...youll see it coming ..if youre old ..you wont care..or welcome a release from the boredom of living within the insignificant breadth of mental pymies...

Yeah, I would agree that socialism is their group evolutionary strategy, their way of survival.

In the west we're extremely individualistic (and the media perpetuates this because it keeps whites from organizing)

so we're not used to collectivist thinking AT ALL.

In the PI they think "what's yours is mine," and act offended if you don't see it that way.

My goodness this site....!!!! lol

My honey's buddies and friends tell him how lucky he is to have a 'Filipino' woman by his side.

They also know other guys who are happily married to Filipino women.

I told my honey to continue the great advertisement, so on and so forth. We need a few good strong, angelic, perfect words... goodness, will you please gentlemen!...

Like many of my girlfriends say, few good men are available in Philippines. The ones you like, you'd have to settle as a sideline quarterback (you're #2, or #3), who likes that?

So many men can't afford to be on their own, either jobless, lazy or just have no initiative in life, nothing but self-pity etc....

The rest are gays who can also be great lovers and friends, maybe husbands too but they play the same team too (ewwww, but if that's your fancy-LOL)

We need to go international, especially many women I know who have the need to breed and have to feel that 'completeness in raising a family'.

I said to my honey, one bloody complain from him about me ... it's bloody murder! LOL

and if its not true, i would be gone 10 times by now. Sort of a living proof.

Crap.

Can't even use the good old nine lives joke.....

I have to confess: I have viewed the recent posts in regards to this with some concern. I have also balanced it out against the input provided by the other members. I am not there, so I will reserve judgement and continue to monitor the news.

I just hope I don't have to add "I'm gonna be murdered by my in laws" to my "limited aircon, brownouts, Starbucks incursion and total lack of irony appreciation" list of reasons not to retire to RP.

total lack of irony appreciation

Look, I can appreciate you wanting not to be murdered by your in laws, and you wanting to have air con and constant electricity, and even the fact that you feel as tho Starbucks is stalking you, but asking for us to appreciate irony ? now that just going too far !!!

i've known more than my fair share of people who have been killed, for varying reasons some for no reason at all.

i can tell you this people who are willing to have someone killed by someone else thus not getting their own hands dirty and chances are not even having to see it happen are generally willing to kill for a lot less reason than most people might realize.

Pretty mixed opinions being expressed here. My own experience suggests that there is an element of truth in them all. The Filipino can often be a kind and caring person. They also have the attitude that if you have something, and are not actually using it, then you don't need it and they can take it. The sharing culture puts pressure on the family member who has "come into money". They themselves, coming from that culture, don't see anything unusual in that. We do, so thats often where the problems start. I have been through many disappointing experiences and seen much money frittered away through a lack of discipline. How often do we get persuaded to start a business, sari sari or whatever, build the premises, provide the stock and licences etc and think all is well until a few weeks later the demand arrives for more money. Why? Need more stock as we have sold it all (or eaten it, or given it away). If you support one, and not another, then you risk them being upset. This attitude is what can grow into the belief that you are treating them unfairly (when you refuse) and then into the anger that can spark retribution. If you haven't seen this, or something like it, within your own Filipino family, then I think you can count yourself as being a lucky one.
