"Typhoon hits Philippines killing nearly 180"...

Other MET organizations, e.g., Japan, Taiwan, were categorizing this tropical cyclone as “Typhoon” but for PAGASA, it was a Tropical Strom. I suppose each country has a different intensity scale…

 

But having learned from Ondoy, they should change the scale to err on the side of caution?

 

Its only words, but people may pay more attention and get prepared if they hear the word “Typhoon”?

 

Just wondering…
