The following recipe I got on the web and modified it to

fit local ingredients.

It came out well, light inside and crunchy outside.

1 c. flour (unsifted)

1/2 tsp. salt

2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 canola oil

1/4 c. milk / buttermilk 9 mix 1/4 c milk and 1/2 t white vinegar

Preheat oven to 450F ( 250C on my oven)

Stir dry ingredients in bowl. Stir milk and oil together, beating with a

fork until mixed well.

I had to add a Tablespoon milk to mix all dry ingredients, and it resulted in a firm

dough that I shaped into 8 small biscuits

Bake 10-15 minutes at 450.

Makes 8 small biscuits.

Can't edit, so cut the salt in half to suit taste.
