Taco sauce

Taco on the menu today, and no taco sauce to be found. That's the beauty of living in the province - store A has taco shells but no ground beef, store B has ground beef but no taco shells. Today, none of them had taco sauce, so I decided to make it myself. This should be more than enough for two persons, and only takes 5 minutes to make.


1/2 can diced tomatoes

1/2 medium red onion, finely chopped

1 glove finely chopped garlic

1 small local paprika(if you have)

some salt and pepper

A small pack of vinegar(the ones you buy 12 for 10 peso)

A little sugar if you like

Two small chili finely chopped(It was quite spicy, so less or more depending on your likings)


Just mix and it's ready to use! Much better than the expensive you buy in the malls.
