I guess I have to say it again.

AMERICA HAS A WAR GOING ON @ THE SOUTHERN BORDER. UNLESS YOUR COUNTRY HAS 30 MILLION ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS LIVING THERE (half the population of the UK) WITH 500K-3M PER YEAR COMING IN YOU CANNOT COMPARE THE MURDER RATE IN THE US TO YOUR COUNTRY WHICH IS SURROUNDED BY AN OCEAN (NATURAL BARRIER MAKING IT HARDER FOR PEOPLE TO ENTER WITH ILLEGAL GOODS)!!!!! UNLESS SOME HOW PEOPLE FROM NEW GUINEA FOUND A PAIR OF NIKES THAT ALLOW THEM TO WALK ON WATER!

As I've said before, at least 25% of the murders in the US are illegal on illegal crime. (No need to yell, but I didn't understand this sentence the first time either!!_ROFLMAO.gif )

"As I've said before, at least 25% of the murders in the US are illegal on illegal crime "

So does this mean that the reaining 75% of the murders are legal? scratch_head.gif

Illegal aliens, you have some in Oz I believe but not nearly as many. Be glad of that.

When all of the criminals in the world throw their guns into the sea then I believe we should too. It's that simple. If a man is afraid of a gun, maybe you should check to see what is between his legs

Yes, violence is a societal issue not an object ownership issue. Interestingly if one looks at crime stats for Caucasian Americans they are very close to the figures in Western Europe. Draw your own c

The "designed for" argument is a red herring. Volkswagon made a lot of military vehicles. So have Jeep. GM. In other pointless bits of data, my guns have never come close to killing anyone. "Designed

When your country shares 3169 km (1969 miles) of border with a 3rd world kidnapping/extortion/corruption/murder capital of the world then we can talk.

My state has roughly 4-5 murders per 100K population per year. We also have about 7 firearms for every human being in the state. We do have a small but not near (very small comparatively) as much as other states illegal immigration problem.

NO NEED TO SHOUT !!!!!! WE CAN HEAR YOU QUITE CLEARLY....

some of us agree with you and some don't........ simples...

Having a gun in the car or in the house for safety is ok, but carrying a gun Might be a bad idea. :scratch_head:

For me I dont want one, id shot myself in the foot and i dont know how to use one either. :biggrin_01:

Carrying a blade or ex baston is however something I would be very comfortable with.

Here we go again, a blade vs a illegal gun in the hands of a crackhead.... :shitstormretarded:

Dunno. A lot of people (especially Americans) equate guns and cars (and not much else) with the size of their reproductive organs.

You just offended my penis, sir.

oh kiss and make up

The majority of gun deaths in the US are drug related or gang related. This actually helps save us money on prisons.

This talk about the government in UK making the country safer by banning guns is irrelevant when it comes to the US. The US government can not ban guns because only the people can change the constitution. The second amendment of the constitution gives the people the right to keep and bear arms. Two recent attempts to circumvent this amendment by local laws were found to be unconstitutional.

Are foreigners that are non citizens in the USA like us here in the RP allowed to carry guns by obtaining the necessary permits if any?

Is that lady a nuclear physicist? Is she walking in boiling water?

Oh! Oh! I just noticed those contraptions behind herbiggrin_01.gif

Edit* But seriously, I thought the domestic energy side of things was from nuclear fusion, as opposed to nuclear fission used in bombs.

These are Russian facilities and she is Miss Nuclear.

The answer is Hell No. Just what I need to see a scared old man packing. Sorry to say but most people do not have enough training or enough experience to have a fire arm. If you are in your home country and want a gun then by all means do it with this lack of training. But do not allow it here where it could potentially lead to a backlash against all expats. When one untrained scared person fires on a group of people.

Each state has its own laws. In Florida, you need to be a citizen or legal resident (green card holder) in order to get a concealed weapons permit.

If foreign residents of the Philippines were allowed to carry guns. Would those fine upstanding members of the PNP be more likely to stop foreign residents and search them on the off chance that said member of PNP could get themselves new gun?

If a member of the PNP confiscated your handgun on some pretext, would you ever see it again even if you could prove you had authorisation to carry it or would it be lost in the system?

Just a thought smile.gif

You must bejoking!!.....

No Pete, I'm not joking this time, did I give that impression? Sorry man.

Perhaps I hang round with a rough crowd, maybe you live a protected life, who knows the reason, but you are apparently unaware of the huge underground market for automatic handguns... revolvers are so pass

Yes, you have to show legal residency to own firearms, and then the laws for permits vary by State.

That means more people are killed by guns "by accident" I guess, because then it doesn't qualify as homicide?

Mostly suicides, actually suicide is (last I looked) the #1 "cause" of gun deaths.

To summarise my veiled argument, I am pro gun at home, but anti gun for foreigners in the Philippines.

Having said that, it would be nice to be able to go along somewhere and shoot some clay targets -- down-the-line, trap, or skeet -- then hand the shotgun back to the attendant and go home.

Yeah, if and when I move there I will miss my target shooting.

Well here's something else you might want to consider before you put a gun in your house:

http://www.childdeathreview.org/causesAF.htm

Again, those 174 deaths, while tragic, are not anywhere near the top of the risk factors that kill youths. Additionally they are easily prevented with training and familiarity. Children who are properly taught from youth will seldom have accidents like this.
