Forum Members User Groups Explained

Recommended Posts

New Member is the user group all forum members' accounts are placed in upon successfully validating their accounts. All members remain in this user group until they have reached 20 successfully approved posts. You are very limited in what you are allowed to do on this site. You may not view or edit your profile, or view the profiles of other members. You may not communicate with other members via the PM system. This is nothing personal. It is solely to protect existing active members from SPAMMERs joining just to solicit other members of the site. Read the Rules & Guidelines of this site before posting. If you have further questions, you may use the PM system to contact the staff (only).

Full Member is the user group all forum members are moved into after they have made 20 successfully approved posts, and typically remain in this user group until they have over 200 successfully approved posts. Full Member users are giving full access to the open forums on this site. Additionally, they may use the PM feature to communicate with other members. They may also view / edit their own profiles. Additionally, Full Member users may view other members' profiles.

Elite Member is the user group all forum members will be moved into upon 200 successfully approved posts. This is the last user group most members are moved into, allowing them full privileges and permissions on the forum. Elite Member users have more features, more access, and fewer limitations that previous user groups.

Inactive Member is a member who has registered and posted in the past, but has not been active in five years. These members, regardless of their previous user status, are changed to "inactive" status. If an inactive member logs on and makes one (1) post in a forum where post counts increase (not all forums allow post increases), his / her account will automatically be moved into his / her previous user group. So, in short, to sort this out, just post on the site again, once you notice you are in this group. Your full access will be returned to your account.

Banned Member is a member's account that no longer has permissions to access this site. To be placed in this user group, one simply has to either SPAM this site, or break rules of this site until they have been issued a total of 15 points. Note, there are some infractions that will cause 15 points to be issued immediately to your account.
