Here's the request from SOS_Philippines. Hope we be help again in this forum! This is one thing I love in here....no matter what, the "Filipino Bayanihan" is alive in LIC!

Hi,

I hope all that read this message are in good health and well, but I hope you

can find it in your hearts to help.

I am looking for A Neg donors. Yeah I know its like looking for a needle in a

haystack!

My partners sister is 14 yrs old and weighs 22kg...... she is very sick. She is

suffering from Rhumatic heart disease and Conjenital heart disease, plus a

couple of seconary problems. So far this year she has been in hospital 4 times,

around 6 months in total. Just buying time until now. The doctors say she needs

Open Heart Surgery to save her life.

The surgery is not the problem, its finding about 10 people willing to donate a

unit of A neg. Without the blood they will not operate!

Please, if you or someone you know is A neg and willing to give this girl a

chance, get in touch. 09195257576.

We dont need it right now, we just need your pledge to help when the hospital is

ready to operate, in about 6 weeks we hope.

She is currently in the Perpetual Succour Hospital in Cebu.

Best wishes to you all.

Brendan

This was just received by me, from the SOS_Philippines Group:

Hi to all of you.

I must first apologise to you all. I am a usless carrier of news!

For that i am deeply sorry.

I have logged tonight and the first thing I see is Andy asking about Sharmine. I am truely amazed that after a week or so of non contact by ourselves you guys still care. In this nasty world we live in its a true wonder. I can say nothing else but "Thank You".

However, I am the bearer of sad news. Sharmine is very sick right now, last night she slipped into a coma, and to be honest, we are glad. Her young body has suffered for a long time now and she is tired. She is tired of the pain and sickness. Her sister Joy, whom Ron has spoken so highly of to you guys is hurting terribly. Sharmine requested a few days ago to be allowed to come home to Labangon for a 'vacation' but with Sharmines best interests at heart she said "no" you must stay here and try to be strong.

To those of you, like Andy, who have been at our call. Thank You so much. You may never be able to help Sharmine, but you have helped us more than you know. Just your support during this terrible time, has helped us in an unbelivable way. Just knowing we can call you if needed is so valuable to us.

Don't get me wrong. I am not wighting Sharmine off, I am just saying that dispite our best efforts things look like they may have come to a natural end.

I have got details of the Sharmine fund here but as of now i think its not a good time to post the scans of the paperwork. Let me just say Joy has used about 6000 peso of the fund so far.

Be assured, I will let you know of any change in Sharmines condition.

You can still visit sharmine at her friendster. just search her name [email protected]

Best Wishes

Brendan & Joy
