Pre-Hispanic Baybayin Alphabetic Script

Recommended Posts

I have passed this sign hundreds of times..  and i often wondered about the script.

It's Baybayin script from the pre-hispanic time...  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baybayin.

If you refer to the Hervais 1787 row of this table (from the Wikipedia article)..  the first word in the sign translates as  Ma Nga Ga..  Mangga.  I had a harder time translating the other two words.

Never too old to learn something new every day.
