Things would have to change to have a P.I. impact but there is something brewing out there. Just something to be aware of. Looks like a whopper of a storm but at the moment Philippine landfall remains uncertain.

If you like to surf though, get your boards waxed and ready.

Wax up the board...Surf's Up!

We're in the process of finishing a second house at the farm and moving day is the 18th...Yikes!

The Western Pacific can never be underestimated. We got us a straight-up 130 knot typhoon

We must live in the same country but in two different climates; haven't had a single day without heavy downpours since maybe October. Pretty gusty and obviously pouring here tonight. The ocean's roaring loud enough to preclude any thought of sleep.

Looks like Surigae has maxed out for now at 170 knots which makes it the strongest April typhoon ever in the northern hemisphere. One for the record books. Thank goodness it seems to be skirting landfall.

Almost gone by Biliran now. Hardly worth a mention.

It never seemed all that strong here. More like LPA or tropical storm strength; my weather station didn't record anything higher than 80 kph.A lot of power poles down along the coast though and the local electric company told me this morning it will be 3-5 days until  power is restored. Been through this before and no biggie and we have back-up power at home.

Normally we'd just go to the beach and roast a goat and snorkel around and drink. Second offense for going to the beach during covid is 10k pesos per person and 11 days in jail though.

What did they get out of you for your first offense?

2500 but no blotter report. Still haven't popped my cherry here despite many attempts.
