Posted Images

I tell ya I am so happy to finally have this boat

Its in Honolulu post office right now as im typing this

Hope itll be delivered tomorrow

This guy is a boat builder from cebu

He build those real bangka

How I found his was just an accident

I have searched all over for someone willing to

Make me a bangka

I was so desperate that money no longer matters to me lol

I have found a couple of guys willing to make

Only to disappear never to hear from them again

I have joined so many philippines forums

Looking for a bangka

Some asking for 500 dollars

Some asking for 400

But they all failed

This guy that made this bangka

Saw some of my rc on the Internet

Which is this rc here

20140829_211325_zps65af195e.jpg

he pm me asking if I was willing to trade for bangka

Hell yeah

at first I thought ohh crap another one

he wanted to make the bangka

Send it to me then I will send him the rc that he wanted for a trade

(So meaning he trusted me with that bangka he have worked on for so many hours)

THAT MEANS A LOT TO ME

We emailed each other back and fourth

I gave him all the information I wanted on a bangka

And he made it

Im so happy with how it turned out

I sent him 150.00 dollars for the bangka to be shipped to hawaii

And his a man of his word

He sent me a copy of the receipt lol

He build a crate for the bangka

ATT_1411023400765_photo3_zps3aaf8ee8.jpg

now he was concerned of the shipping cost lol

This bangka's length is over 40 inchess long

I told dont worry about the shipping cost

I will take care of it as long as itll arrived to me in good shape

Almost 6 kilos

Now my friends saw the pictures of my bangka

They all wanted a bangka

On top of that his currently making my sport fishing boat

This time though is different

after bis done with the hull

I am going to send all electronics that goes on the boat

Remote motors esc etc.

I think ill go with a jet drive for that second boat

His very happy he have 5 boats lined up to make

Plus my second boat all 6 boats

as for trade

I decided to triple what his asking

Plus extras on the side

Something for his wife

Just to show my appreciation :)

Of water in the hull

And itll automatically pump out the water

Thanx mikala

These are my hobbies

:)

I've been wanting to build a Korean turtle ship for years. I'm in the right place. I think I can find the right tools and there's an interesting kit available with the basics, but instructions in Korean. I keep putting it off due to my inability to understand / read Korean.

Just an excuse to get a Korean girlfriend :)

I swore off Korean girls in 1995 and haven't touched 1 since. I'm surprised that I made it this many years with only a few 'cravings'.

I guess it would help a bunch to have a Korean gf to help me with the instructions, but then I'd have to hurry as the expiration date on all my past Korean girl relations have come due around 6 months. That's when they start really digging their hooks in and demanding I turn over all my money, possessions, though processing, life, after-life and more to their evil control.

Maybe better I just stick to drinking heavily instead of building model boats?

Thats a very interesting ship

It looks really heavy

I had one that was gifted to me decades ago that was handmade by the brother of my Korean ex-gf. During 1 drunken rage, she broke it into a thousand pieces. I've wanted to build one since then. I'm not sure what wood he used, but it wasn't that heavy and did well in my carry-on from Seoul back to Honolulu.

Probably a balsa wood?

I have tried carving a bangka from a balsa

but it cant carry anything

The balsa that I had was just to small for an rc

Other than that it turned out good

As for the beers and ladies

Have to cut down

At least these rc's dont talk back

When you leave them alone on the corner

I'm sorry. But, if you are going to have a pump boat from the Philippines, you need to make it complete and take that automatic bilge pump out of it. You must replace it with a bamboo pump, like the ones on the boats. :D

Seriously, looks great! That prop may be a bit small, for sure.

And they are a damned sight cheaper!

Not sure if you are keen to put the guys name and contact information on the forum. But, if you are, anyone else who may be interested in having one of those boats would be able to contact him.
