This performance is a reminder of what love, music, and conviction can create.
We all share the human heart, let the music bring us all back to our humanity.

We started this track in West Africa with a musical group named Tinariwen. We asked them to play a groove in the key of G, then as we traveled the world we added more musicians to the song. Over the course of our travels, it transformed into a global jam with its roots in the blues.

This song was originally written and performed by the late, great Peter Tosh and speaks about the beauty and strength of Africa. We united Peter's son, Andrew Tosh, with Donald Kinsey and Fully Fullwood who performed with Peter many years ago and added musicians all over the world from Africa to Jamaica to the USA. Turn it up and feel how the heartbeat of Africa resonates through this uplifting song.

We started this performance with PFC Band members Titi Tsira and Clarence Bekker while on a trip together in Rio de Janeiro. Wherever we traveled we would add more musicians, strings in Serbia, guitar and bass in Chicago, pandeiro in Brazil and the final piece came together with Sara Bareilles' vocal performance at Washington Square Park in NYC. The message of this song is as strong as ever and it's up to us to make the change we want to see. Music can show us the way.
