COVID-19 death in Cebu City March 28

"Dennis N.A. Garcia, CEO and chairman of Vivant Corporation, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 due to complications related to Covid-19. He was 70 years old."

History of respiratory issues and emphysema, full time nurse at home BEFORE this period, caught in Manila a month ago.  Not sure how (or if) related to the Governor. Diagnosed positive on 28th, passed away later same day at Cebu Doctors. Resident at City Lights 6c, tower 3 I believe.  Admitted to hospital on Feb 25th.

RIP

Winland Towers has 2 towers, 21 floors of condos each, 12 condos per floor, 504 @ maybe 75% occupancy? = 378units  - our public officials in their infinite wisdom were only going to issue 1, one, uno, for each tower, not condo, tower.

Their reasoning? 1 house = 1 pass / 1 tower = 1 house - so what if it has 189 families living in it  :showing-ass:

Our manager went and b!tched, got them up to 10 per tower, then did a head count of each tower - now up to 30 each.

Her plan is to sign them out and in - she still needs to devise the particulars of frequency, number of hours, etc.

Said some of the boarding houses aren't  getting any.

2 to 3 hours north of Toronto Canada, in the "cottage country" of lakes and rocks and trees, with snow still on the ground, is the small town of Bobcaygeon.. with it's small nursing home with 66 elderly residents.  The COVID outbreak began on March 18, with staff and patients getting sick at the same time.  To date.. 9 COVID related patient deaths and 17 of 34 staff have tested positive.  More deaths are expected.

My mum says another nursing home in Stoney Creek..  near Hamilton..  has same status.

Low cost - simple to make - open loop ventilator for long term users - frees up full function machine for contagious patients

"The average adult, when resting, inhales and exhales about 7 or 8 liters of air per minute. That totals about 11,000 liters of air per day.

Inhaled air is about 20-percent oxygen. Exhaled air is about 15-percent oxygen. Therefore, about 5-percent of breathed air is consumed in each breath. That air is converted to carbon dioxide. So, as far as how much air is actually used, human beings take in about 550 liters of pure oxygen per day."

Wife Read and translated pass wording and requirements.

Down the bottom in small letters....

This pass does not apply to 60 years and over who must stay at home.... OK... No problem... Back to YouTube..

So now people over 60 must stay at home?  Who made THIS new rule?  Will it be 50+ next week?  I was at Metro Ayala Cebu yesterday - plenty of 65+ shopping.

Citylights Gardens got passes yesterday - 1/condo.  I can only imagine what's going on at each Barangay office.....
