it may be necessary to schedule your trip around a Covid booster shot.

By the time that happens there will have been enough testing that I'll likely be fine with it.

Nih bioethics is not a company.  Got it?  Bioethics is a department within the nih.   Fauci heads a separate department.  Got it? Nih doesnt approve drugs for the fda.  Got it?  Drug testing is done by drug/pharmaceutical companies, sometimes with fda guidance.   Results are submitted to the fda.   Fauci and his wife have nothing to do with it.  Got it?  The purpose of what you've been quoting is to create an appearance of impropriety where none exists.

Hot steamy wet parasite laden cowpies.

I started a new topic because this discussion goes far beyond just whether or not people are vaccinated. If the Admins disagree, they can move it to wherever they like.

I can talk about my experience.

In december 2019 I stayed in a resort in Mactan, the majority of guests are chineese tourists, a week later I got fever, cough, loss of taste, headache. Recovered a week later.

Fast forward 2021, I am in Florida, couple weeks ago I done covid antibody blood test and it is positive, so I guess I am still immune after almost 2 years.

My experience was the opposite. I was infected in March 2020 (with numerous symptoms and treated by my doctor), but by October 2020 I tested negative for antibodies and negative for any sign that I had retained any immunity at all. I got vaccinated in July 2021 (Janssen), but I have little hope that any immunity will have a lasting effect. BTW, I still have no sense of smell and my lungs are still often congested (asthma-like symptoms) almost a year and a half after infection. The last time I had asthma was when I was ten years old (until I got infected with COVID-19). So, the effects of COVID-19 have lasted a lot longer than any immunity did. I think it is only a matter of time before I get re-infected.

(non-vaccinated at this point, no vaccines)

My experience was strange, My torso became infected and I could barely move. I went to the ER and they performed the nose swab and it came back positive for Covid.

(I’m in the Hospital parking lot, inside a tent)

While Im waiting for a room in the Hospital, they performed an antigen test.

They found a Covid room for me and my results came back as Negative for  covid but, I had no “G” antibodies and I had some “M” which is not good.
(as explained to me by my Doc, the antigen test shows several things besides pos or neg and you need to watch these as well.)

Several sources do not explain the above point well.
Found out my lungs are infected and my back, so was put on pain killers, antibiotics and muscle relaxers. These affected my kidneys (badly) and another Doc was called in, a kidney specialist to fix my medication.

Kidneys went down, everything else is healing (about 7-days) and the Doc did one more antigen test, finally the “G” were there and my body was fighting.

So she let me go home to self Quarantine… for 7 more days.

Interesting though, several Doc’s seemed to be mystified by my conditions concerning Covid.

Finally got the vaccine a month later.

So am I immune for six months, two years or what, I’ve no idea.

That's how natural immunization works, same reason you don't get chicken pox twice.

Having SARS-CoV-2 once confers much greater immunity than a vaccine

Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens got Covid twice . The best friend in Chicago who received the Pfizer vaccine is at home now with Covid . He feels like shit but he hasn’t had to be hospitalized . He runs a big restaurant with 60 employees and your always talking to people . Jobs in the service sector are having a hard time filling positions because workers are scared . Many people I know have lost loved ones our friends to Covid . I would still get the vaccine. Jmo

I hate to break the news, but you can get reinfected with chicken pox virus. The second time it presents as shingles, which is much worse than the childhood variety of chicken pox.

Relatives there claim its an automatic P20,000 a day in a hospital if there for covid so nobody went if sick for anything to avoid being tested.  Did you experience anything like that?
