Russian Recovery of WWII Era Weapons

Came across these video's.. in Russian..  as they recover some WWII heavy weapons.  Thought some of you may have interest.

Great stuff! Hope they end up restored and in a military museum. Without the Russians efforts we would be speaking Fritz :thumbs_up:

My guess is that there are FAR more of these around than all the military museums need.  The way they were removing munitions from the one tank I thought this was part of ongoing munitions cleanup from the war..  The name www.informreward.ru suggests ongoing cleanup.  Someone is funding this.

There is some posthumous respect here as well..  as at least the last 2 of these vehicles were likely tombs as well.

Here is a Sherman that made it into a Kiev WWII museum after it was recovered.
