I wonder if all those earthquakes will jiggle something loose in Legaspi or other nearby volcanoes.  Pinatubo?

Or the BIG one they are waiting for in Manila.

Thanks to Taal I found my new desktop background. Too bad about the powerlines, but it's Philippines after all. From  ABS-CBN website.

My view today. I have been playing computer games all afternoon and felt a multitude of small earthquakes and heard a lot of thunder. Didn't think much about it until my landlord calle

found it on Utube...

Has anyone been able to find a live streaming webcam of the volcano? I looked to no avail.

Just took a pic, same view as the opening post. Much more clouds today so it is hard to see what is smoke/ash. It looks like it has calmed down a lot. Still have earthquakes but they are less frequent.

This may go on for months so flights may be hit or miss.

The live view link Bosshog posted works good. Not much action or wind so it might look frozen but it's not.

HSBC Bank at Ayala closed today ..  as result of Taal..  ATM working but branch closed.  They said ..  because head office closed for Taal.

They don't know what will happen tomorrow.

Maybe this should have been ins own thread.

Wow! How do you know all of this…

Ummm ... I read.

Volcanoes have always interested me, so I read up on the volcanoes in the Philippines, since there are so many here. It is always good to know what hazards exist in a country you are going to live in. Taal has the potential to be one of the nastiest if it goes full-blown explosion. However, the thing that I gathered from all of my reading is that the "experts don't have a clue about how to predict a super eruption because none have occurred in historical times. However, the last super eruption that did occur (about 70,000 years ago) almost drove the human species extinct.
