As of right now, there's signal #1 for just a few areas. Eastern Samar, Dinagat, and all the rest of those municipalities listed below are here on Siargao island. Right now it's a beautiful blue sky day with a very mild breeze. You're certainly correct though; signals will be going up over a wide area very soon. "TCWS#1 may be raised over Northern Samar, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, and mainland Surigao del Norte in the next Severe Weather Bulletin." http://bagong.pagasa.dost.gov.ph/tropical-cyclone/severe-weather-bulletin/2 Edited December 23, 2019 by BossHog

BossHog 38,527
Latest storm signal #1. Expect more by 5 pm. Boat travel in a lot of the Visayas is shutting down. Hope you're where you want to be. Edited December 23, 2019 by BossHog

Dec 26 is also St Stephen’s Day. St Stephen was noted for acts of charity. If you are familiar with it, the Good King Wenceslas carol tells a similar story (starts Good King Wenceslas looked out on the feast of Stephen...). In my childhood it was generally the day that those who delivered to the house (postman, milkman) received a tip. These days it has degenerated into the first day of the January sales.... This year it might well be the first day of rebuilding Masbate’s fragile infrastructure for the second time in less than a month. We literally got our Globe service restored after Tisoy yesterday afternoon!! Edited December 24, 2019 by Paddy Extra
