Useful Websites

Recommended Posts

Found this web site some time back, full of demographic information about the Philippines.  Easy to navigate.

https://www.philatlas.com/philippines.html

Couple other useful web sites would be:

https://www.pna.gov.ph/ Philippine news agency

https://www.lazada.com.ph/ on line store

https://www.windy.com/-Show---add-more-layers/overlays?14.907,123.407,5,i:pressure The weather

https://www.hurricanezone.net/ The typhoon forecast

What are some of your suggestions for useful web sites? What are some of your most useful Philippines book marks?

Well as a Philippines site i only use The Inquirer mobile for news, although their has been some question about its content, its easy to navigate and does me. However the News and geographical site that you (dave007) put up looks quite interesting so i will save it. Otherwise anything of importance i get from LINC as i know IF of importance someone will post. Yes i have WINDY,Lazada (my go to site) Otherwise its all overseas stuff, ABC,, Channel 9 news Australia, Euronews, BBC,(as I'm following Brexit) and YouTube all bookmarked. YouTube might sound off track but no, plenty of live streamed news from everywhere. So not a lot of Philippines stuff but i will give that news site a run.

A couple of sites I use when planning trips around the Philippines:

Lonely Planet Thorn Tree Forum - Philippines

Lakwatsero

Trip Advisor Philippines Forum

All pretty good sources of travel info.

A facebook group with a very large and active membership, a very good source of information for and by expats

Cebu Foreigners Club

It's especially good for information about places off the beaten track, places like the Cuyo Islands and Linapacan Island, two of my favourite places in the Philippines.
