This system (now being called tropical depression 'a') is certainly covering a large area!

The tropical depression has maximum winds of 55 km/h and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is expected to intensify into a tropical storm before entering PAR on Thursday.

When it enters PAR, it will be given the local name Marilyn - more info here:

We will get some rain from this for sure but the brunt of the storm ill hit mid-northern china.

There is another one on it's heels that looks like a monster! should hit Shanghai-ish.

This is a prediction of the next storm. With pressure at 948 on Friday the 20th, it's gonna be a real problem for china. Should not be an issue for the Philippines.

I am looking at the Ocean in Ormoc right now and it looks a bit rough.

Yeah, just got back from the beach here in north Cebu, and it's a bit choppy, but I noticed the roro's are running. Not as windy as I was expecting.

Just rode the Supercat from Cebu to Ormoc. No biggie.  No rough waters.

Been back to Leyte for less than an hour and the winds have picked up and heavy rain is falling.  Now 3:30 pm Thursday.

Can you now park a car at the Ormoc ferry during your trip?

I know that they stopped it at one point but had hoped that the rules have been changed.

There is no overnight parking at the ferry terminal in Ormoc. It’s not even convenient to park to drop off someone as it appears there is less parking now.
